What on Earth is Mrs Muscat’s obsession with high society.

She isn’t high society. No one who is part of high society would even dream of using that name. It’s such a vulgar thing to say.

But then again, the Labour Party has been trying so very hard to appeal to the Maltese middle class since Muscat’s election as leader of the MLP.

Sadly, they know nothing about the middle class. What we are seeing is the ignorant and self-absorbed version of what people like Muscat think is middle class. For them it’s about being a socialite, having money, and having an excessively high opinion of yourself. It has nothing to do with values and priorities, just image.

Do these people think they are celebrities? What a joke.
