The Foreign Minister must have developed an obsession about security prompted by all the speeches marking the 40th anniversary (couldn’t they have waited another 10 years?) of Malta’s role (Mintoff’s really) in the Helsinki Conference: ‘No Security in Europe without Security in the Mediterranean.

I’m not going to start this again. The examples you mention are PRE-LITERACY. Dementia is not.

And no, we don’t all say ‘dimensja in Maltese’. The people who say ‘dimensja’ when speaking Maltese also say ‘dimensja’ when speaking English. Those of us who say ‘dementia’ when speaking English also say ‘dementia’ when speaking Maltese.

Now that we are literate, there is no justification for such ignorance.

There is even less justification for cannibalising a word with a clear Latin root to ‘dimensja’.

How sad! The Foreign Minister actually thinks he is important enough for a jihadist to take note.

It’s more a case of George who?

Is this the same foreign minister who cannot remember who suggested the appointment of Sai Mizzi and who confessed he was not involved in any discussion and does not know where she is working from?

The man is so unimportant not event his own cabinet colleagues consult him and keep him informed.
