China yanks Muscat’s chain and drags him all the way to some god forsaken city to promote their grandiose ambitions for taking over the world’s infrastructure.

He bends over backwards ro accommodate his energy minister’s Chinese wife whose loyalties are sharply clear, appointing her to a position in which she can only be ineffective in Malta’s regard.

He trumpets the opening of an envelope-sized office using existing staff as some major investment achievement.

He leaps to the defence of a Chinese company that’s been blacklisted from Australia to Zambia.

And your limp comeback is “so is Google, to be fair”.

This is the Nationalist Party’s tragedy: that people think this way.
