To paraphrase Jesus Christ, the weirdoes will be with us always. It’s not as though this is going to be anything other than of really marginal interest.

My main issue here is with the presentation to the public, by a minister of the government, of a convicted cocaine trafficker as an entirely normal and legitimate person.

I have a massive problem on the issue of the intellectual output of the magazine.

I have no problem with that. He’s never gone to prison for trafficking in cocaine or been put on trial for conspiracy to murder. He has even right to be weird and off the wall as long as he is not committing crimes, and he is also free to associate with convicted cocaine traffickers because he is not a representative of the people and not accountable to us for his actions. He is accountable only to his prior.
