People without names don’t exist.

This is an attempted suicide in a police cell, not an attempted suicide anywhere else. It’s not the suicide/attempted suicide that’s the news (in fact, there is consensus in the media on not reporting suicides) but the fact that it took place in police custody.

You don’t conceal the name in a situation like that. It allows the police too much room for manouevre.

You cannot publish the medical documents of public persons just because they are public persons.

The decision-making basis is whether it is a matter of public interest or not. And it most definitely is.

What this document says is that the man slashed his wrists. The fact that three others in his position hanged themselves has been all over the news, with their names and all.
