These people aren’t volunteers.

They’re a highly organised network of specially trained people under the direction of our host, always on the ready to snap the right photo in the right place at the right time, or to report on those events of interest that we’d never get to hear about otherwise.

Their hard and timely work is appreciated no end.

Air Malta’s restructuring plan was going relatively well until Labour were elected. Ever since Maria Micallef was appointed, the company has been going downhill. Just because she is a ‘good woman’ (I’ll take your word for it), it does not mean that she is also an executive success.

I have no doubt about the qualifications attributed to Maria Micallef, but on the other hand if she is so qualified to run a national airline why allow a Minister, with even less experience than herself, to negotiate the future of the airline?
