That’s hardly the point, is it. The point is that the Maltese government is literally selling access to Europe’s Schengen zone – this time without even having to make them Maltese citizens – to entire generations of Chinese families, in exchange “for a donation to Identity Malta”. Whether they do this through a Maltese company or a Chinese company is neither here nor there. The Chinese company’s involvement is significant only because of Mrs Konrad Mizzi’s probable involvement.
