That’s rubbish. Your IP will only show you are in Texas or Paraguay if you are deliberately using a proxy server to conceal your identity.

If an IP number says the person is in Brussels, then the person is in Brussels. It’s only the precise location that will be off.

Please don’t set too much store with the addresses that you get from these IP locaters. Whilst the general info would be accurate, going from my case the coordinates and the town you are supposed to be living in vary widely from one IP locator to the other.

According to which one strikes your fancy, the closest gives my location as being 6kms away whilst the furthest is a staggering 55kms away. Not one actually got closer to where I live here in Germany.

Those coordinates are right in the centre of the cross-road between Rue de l’Eveque and Boulevard Anspach (http://www.latlong.net). I am sure most will be able to deduce who is using it.
