In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. I watch the news on RAI UNO every day and I know what I hear. For all their faults Italy is a democracy and no matter which party is in government it is no guarantee of immunity or impunity. Quite the reverse sometimes, unlike Malta.

In Italy hardly a day goes by that the forces of order don't arrest and charge some politician, mayor, magistrate, councillor, businessman, with corruption, association with organised crime etc. Most officials resign immediately to try and clear their names. Just like Malta? I would not say so.
