Does anyone realise that there are Libyan nationals who are seriously ill and who are desperate to come to Malta for treatment but whose request is now being denied now that the scandal has been exposed, whilst this man drives around in a BMW obtained by ill-gotten gains? Despicable.

The €38,000 constitutes a substantial foreign investment and Gafa should be rewarded for his initiative. He probably wishes to be found guilty, gets a two year suspended sentence and immediately Gowzef will reward him with a €50,000 a year raise.

An optician’s in Valletta: so that’s why he looked so familiar.

I used to go quite often to update my lenses some years back. This guy then served behind the counter in one of those heavy metal dos with his long straggly hair tied in a pony tail and unkempt clothing of the kind with a skull on a T-shirt and fake black leather trousers.

I was struck by his empty stare and his lower lip lolling down and out as he handled orders from customers. That he would one day end up like this. Cor blimey.
