Saying that Israel has no right to exist because they are a bunch of European colonists who should be relocated to the United States because they own the government there anyway is clearly anti-semitic, and that’s exactly the sort of comments Labour members like Ken Livingstone and Naz Shah have been making.

I’m not saying that criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic. On the contrary, I believe that Israel’s government should be criticised as much as possible. But the Corbynistas have managed to turn a delicate, complicated conflict into an excuse to attack Jewish politicians and members of the Labour Party.

Then – if the reports are indeed accurate – there’s the matter of Corbyn appearing on Iran’s state television and accepting £20,000 for it, along with being supportive of Venezuela’s horrendous regime. God forgive me for agreeing with him, but I think Alastair Campbell described Corbyn and John McDonnell best when he called both men “poshboy revolutionaries” who have never moved on from student politics back in the ’70s.

Ed Miliband may not have been leadership material himself; his brother should have won the Labour Leadership back in 2010 and the UK is now paying for that mistake. But I do have much more faith and belief in his moral character and judgement than I do for Corbyn’s. He is out there fighting for Parliament’s right to have a say in the upcoming Brexit negotiations, whilst his leader seems to have nary a word to say about it.
