Unfortunately, he did not give you the complete picture of the ramifications of leaving the EU, as did none of them from either side as there was no intelligent and informed debate.

The simple bit was voting, the more difficult stuff is now appearing, ie the laws of the United Kingdom which are sovereign and which everyone (especially those that wanted to leave) wants to remain in situ.
