This is a huge sore point with Canadians: military orders required are obsolete when received, so long is the time required between demand and order completion. It sometimes goes into decades.

That makes it sound, to the less insightful, as though his company employs that many people and generates that much revenue. But all they seem to do is brokerage, something that went out of fashion years ago with the emergence of the internet.

Why would I go to a third party, when I can deal with the original equipment-manufacturers’ sales people directly through their own website?
