In reply to Benny Hill. Tu quoque responses are typical in Malta. Almost everyone argues in this way. So I doubt whether many people actually realise how annoying such 'arguments' are.

Muscat’s answers are always predictable. He responds to any sort of challenging questions in the usual manner: “instead of asking me this question, you’d better see what such and such a person in the Nationalist Party is doing about such and such a thing”.

He might think that this is a politically intelligent way of answering questions, but in reality anyone with even an ounce of sense can see through them.

We’ve discussed Muscat’s use of tu quoque (aka the appeal to hyprocrisy) responses before – this is related to that type of response. This has been Muscat’s default way of answering questions for ages. It is extremely annoying and well past its sell-by date.
