And rightly so. She started her reign with Churchill as Prime Minister and may end it with May at the helm. Contrary to the first, the second Elizabethan era has been all about England’s diminution of power and increasing irrelevance.

Like thousands of British farmers (and more than most of them , she being a major landowner) she may be discovering that she'll have to wave her farming subsidies goodbye, besides having to struggle to export her produce. She can always retaliate by heeding Boris Johnson's advice not to drink Prosecco or buy French knickers.
