In spite of Trumps encouragement of Brexit, and his promise of a quick trade deal with the UK, an increasingly isolationist US has slapped a prohibitive tariff on the C series Bombardier jet, threatening British jobs. May`s Britain is looking increasingly like the dog which dropped the bone to steal that of its reflection.

And the Iraqi Kurds, have understandably voted overwhelmingly for independence. I sincerely wish them luck. An independent Kurdistan is long overdue. These people have ben tortured and massacred relentlessly by Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. I hope the US and the EU do not succumb to the increasingly tyrannical Erdogan`s blackmail. Kurds have been instrumental in defeating ISIL. The least the West can do is to recognise their independence and support their fledgling state.
