Only to pedants like you. Infertile heterosexual couples are NOT the norm. It is UNnatural that they can’t reproduce.

Gay/lesbian couples 100% cannot naturally produce offspring (and, let me add, even with IVF or surrogacy, can only ever produce children with ONE natural parent from their father and other/mother and other/procreator and other).

And by the way, it is Nature that is condemning the heterosexuals (not me). The gay/lesbians suffer no natural loss by not reproducing – therefore neither me nor Nature are condemning them. Your lumping both orientations together is highly disingenuous.

Lesbians have to go abroad to become pregnant as there are no sperm banks in Malta. I believe that they should do it on their own and not supported by taxpayers’ money. After all the means to become fertilised is extraordinary in the case of a lesbian couple.

There are other aspects to this too, because after a fertilised embryo has been implanted, a woman (lesbian or not) is then legally pregnant and from that point on is protected from unfavourable treatment because of her pregnancy. She would also then be entitled to time off for antenatal care, and any other pregnancy related sickness or absence.

I think Adrian Delia has not thought this through and is opening up a can of worms with his stance on this. In any event, why would women need to go abroad for IVF treatment?

Surely Muscat’s all-singing, all-dancing Vitals Global Healthcare professionals could provide such treatment…at a price of course.
