Hoist by their own petard

AD’s strategy of forever attacking the Nationalist Party and never having one word of criticism for Labour hasn’t really paid off in the way it hoped. Nor has its cooperation with Labour. Its voter base has migrated to Muscat’s party, at least in this election.

The AD was (note the past tense) an opportunistic socialist ensemble from day 1, playing its cards based on perceived returns – their calculations have always gone haywire (despite accountants). Their platforms have now been all removed, and as you say the MLP has made it its mission to take its electoral base.
tra due litiganti, il terzo gode
Arnold and his moteley crew at AD can never dream of being elected either to the National Parliament or to the European one.
I do not really know what the “Professor” title stands for but he is certainly not an engineer or technical person and should leave criticism of technical subjects such as choice of power station plants, wind farms, waste to energy production to experts in these fields. When he opens his mouth on these subjects he makes a fool of himself because he does not know what he is talking about.
Green jobs, Arnold? In this recession who can afford to convert his house into a green structure as you are suggesting?
[Daphne – Marco Cremona, AD person and key liaison point with Labour. Didn’t you notice the media coverage of Joseph Muscat visiting Marco Cremona’s eco-house, Marco Cremona’s water wotsit, Marco Cremona’s this and Marco Cremona’s that?]
Dear Daphne – At least Ing. Cremona creates environmental projects which have not only been visited by local politicians but also by foreign TV stations! M. Cremona’s water wotsit has won several international awards. It’s easier to be a critic than to invent something.
[Daphne – No doubt. What a shame he poisons it all with his personal political agenda and his bitterness and resentment.]
