Norman Vella, July 2012 – boy, was he RIGHT.
Those Labour scum, for scum they indubitably are, invited Vella onto the Fat Controller’s show on Super One only to proceed to insult him and attack him – because being Labour and a total bunch of hamalli (I was never allowed to use that word growing up, but face it, no other one suffices) they think it’s normal to let rip into your guests in your ‘home’ by means of verbal assaults and insults.
And boy, was Vella ever right. They attacked him because he said that people in certain positions were worried that the first thing Labour would do was get rid of them – after all, they got rid of others when in Opposition by using parliament.
That Super One detritus really laid into him for saying that, and he was only reporting what these people had told him themselves. AND HE WAS RIGHT. The first thing they did was get rid of everyone and replace them with more Labour scum and a bunch of tal-pepe laghqin, out for a contract or 10.
If Henley & Partners are the pirates of the Caribbean, your average Maltese in his or her natural state are the pirates of the central Mediterranean, literally so I suppose when you remember that so many are descended from them – and from slave-traders.

Silvio Scerri – ‘the boss of bosses’
Who’s he?
Mafia boss you mean.
Why did Norman go on that show? They only wanted him there so that they could attack him.
Perché mi hai veduto, hai creduto: beati quelli che pur non avendo visto hanno creduto
Me l’ho ricordo bene quel programma. L’ho visto. Ma se devo essere sincero, anche se ero sicuro che il Malta Labour Party non era cambiato, dissi che Norman Vella stava esagerando.
Mi sbagliavo, non esagerava per niente.
L’ho visto by all means.
But me lo ricordo bene would be more proper Italian.
Me l’ho ricordo does not exist.
Me l’ho ricordato does.
Did he really have the nerve to call Norman Vella imbarazz?
I just can’t stand re living those dreaded times again.
Joe Grima ghajjar lill Norman Vella imbarazz?
Issa iktar jidher bic-car li qabdu ma’ Norman u kif qal tant tajjeb Alla jaf min x’hiex ser jghaddi.
Pero ahna warajk Norman, kuragg. Is-sewwa jirbah zgur.
[Daphne – ‘Is-sewwa jirbah zgur’. It rarely does, actually.]
This is the post-colonial effect resuming, something that had been toned down under PN. Welcome to Zimbabwe!
A million dollar question: If Norman Vella is imbarrazz (albeit my reservations), what the hell would the other two be? A scatological remnant?
