Tsk. Tsk. We mustn’t say that Saviour Balzan needs a psychiatrist.

I rang the Institute of Maltese Journalists to check whether it was Balzan himself who lodged a complaint. But it was their initiative.

TVM, of course, reports it with enthusiasm thinking that it is doing its Reporter show-host a favour. But rather the opposite, I would say.

Incidentally, as the person who tweeted back at TVM pointed out, nobody sent Balzan to a psychiatrist. Adults can only be forced to go to one if they are committed on the grounds that they are a danger to themselves and/or to others.
