Corruption and abuse of power in Government Property Division: the latest

Luke Sant

When I wrote about the government/Labour Party harassment over the rubble wall (which requires no permit because it is a rubble wall) on the tenant farmer’s holdings beneath our garden, I pointed out that there is no way on earth that the Labour Party newspaper and television station could have got hold of the tenant farmer’s identity, his name and even his telephone number unless they were expressly and specifically given this information by the Government Property Division.

At that point I had no idea that a certain Luke Sant, who belongs to one of the only rabidly Labour farming families in Bidnija (there are just two), and whose parents are at war with most of their own family and busy trying to grab agricultural land and tenancy rights wherever and from whomsoever they can, works at the Government Property Division as a ‘person of trust’ and is Parliamentary Secretary Michael Falzon’s right-hand man. But then one of our neighbours told me about that.

So it didn’t take much to put two and two together and make the obvious four, but I couldn’t write about it until I knew for sure.

And I was right. This morning I received an unsolicited telephone call from a cast-iron-reliable source within the public service who informed me that the ‘story’ and the tenant farmer’s details were handed to the Labour Party media by Luke Sant, who he described as a “person of trust who obviously cannot be trusted” (I think it’s more a matter of “a person of trust who can be trusted to carry out corruption and abuse”) at the Government Property Division and one of Michael Falzon’s special people.

That is the abuse, in terms of using information to which you are privy in your government job to create false stories for the harassment of a journalist.

Now wait for the corruption, which I believe is much worse. Luke Sant lives over the way from us with his father Agostino aka Gustu who, as I explained, is hard at it trying to grab as many fields in the area as he can.

So it is perfectly obvious what is happening here. Luke Sant, with or without the collusion of his father (but one suspects with), is abusing his position at the Government Property Division to obtain, through corrupt means, the land held by another tenant farmer directly beneath the house in which I live.

Killing two birds with one stone, the Labour Party media has used the non-story about a rubble wall to harass me while at the same time serving the personal interests of Luke Sant, Michael Falzon’s ‘person of trust’ in the Government Property Division, who wants the land for himself and his parents.

The Labour Party’s so-called ‘journalists’ have been hassling the farmer non-stop with questions and now they have even picked on his tool-room. Yes, his tool-room. They miss the Montekristo Estate and zoo, they miss Gaffarena’s petrol station, they miss Zonqor Point, and they come to Bidnija to pick on a tenant farmer’s tool-room because Luke Sant, who works as a person of trust in the Government Property Division, wants the tenant farmer’s land.

Excuse me for using the word in print, but jaqq. Literally, jaqq. This is so corrupt, abusive and revolting that I don’t know where to begin. Government harassment of a journalist through the creation of false stories is bad enough, but using that harassment to provide the bonus dividend of seizing land from a tenant farmer who has worked it all his life, to pass it on to another ‘farmer’ who works as a person of trust to Parliamentary Secretary Michael Falzon is beyond belief.

Well, it is not beyond belief to me because this is exactly why I don’t vote Labour. They don’t know where the boundaries lie and will stop at nothing. It’s one big piratical raid based on corruption, abuse and using the letter of the law to break its spirit while enacting other laws to make more piratical raids possible.

JAQQ JAQQ JAQQ– too disgusting for words.
