Kid gloves for the corrupt Gaffarenas in the Labour press

The General Workers Union news portal, iNews, has an update on the Gaffarena murder case without telling its readers that Romina Caruana is Joe Gaffarena’s daughter and Marco Gaffarena’s sister.

And because it won’t say who those people are, then it can’t give its readers the requisite context, either.

This is not a story about a DNA test. This is a story about a delaying tactic used by corrupt police inspector Daniel Zammit, who was the prosecutor. The murder took place six years ago, but because of this delaying tactic (and others), the case is still stuck in the compilation of evidence stage and has not yet gone to trial.

Marco Gaffarena – his sister’s husband shot her lover in their home at 1am, and the investigating officer was his father Joe’s business partner, corrupt Police Inspector Daniel Zammit. The house where the murder took place has since been demolished and replaced with a block of flats by Joe Gaffarena, the murderer’s father-in-law.
