Banquo’s ghost continues to haunt the feast

Jo Said is still around and looking for some reason to feel relevant, now that Labour has been beaten and AD (which he joined – what a surprise, given that it has become a dustbin for all sorts) is largely irrelevant. He’s sent in these two comments to this blog, which I am showcasing here. The next thing we know, he’ll be writing to the paraventu to seek protection against me. Ho-hum.

A highly literate comment from Jo Said (1)

Jo Said“The queen of gutter journalism does not even have the self respect, any honest person has, to do a little soul-searching. She is so unhappy, so materialistic, so vain and so miserable that she is scared to even admit to herself that she errs continously, let alone find her real self. She is so naive that she believes in mirrors. Hence her lies, her total disrespect for others and her hamallagni, albeit pulita (she thinks), and her base language about anyone in her way. I am so scared of her, God forbid I have a nightmare with her being the protagonist.”

“Mr Aquilina asks her a moral question, and the queen bounces it off to others. It is so true what others tell me of her….and the bunch of blinkered blues. They are all arrogant and base. Smash my face, dude….show us what you’re made of. The Old Labour language and trait is in you all, apologists.”

“BTW is there a good lawyer out there? I cannot remember whom I leased a plot of land to and I need to collect Euros 110,000 yearly from this tenant – what a predicament! Ahhhh, wait, someone just found a notarial deed for me…God bless him, what a relief. Ooops, there’s an outline permit at MEPA too…what a coincidence. Holy cow, I swear I did not know about all this. Thanks to the PN, everything is possible, you see.”

A highly literate comment from Jo Said (2)

“Where is Jo Said? I am so glad that the PN just managed to gain power by one seat. That is precisely what it deserves. Gonzi is not the PM, really. He is there only to do what his MP’s have to dictate. Like Gonzero did for the last four years…a perfect yes-man.”

“Watch Joe Saliba go….bye bye Joe, like it or not you are OUT. That’s victim number one…watch out for the next one, guys and gals….that is what happens to arrogant persons. And worse will happen to the corrupt. I started it and …….who finished it?”

“Relax guys and watch the clock …tick …tick …tick. The majority has dumped you just like it dumped Mintoff in the eighties. And no, I have not forgotten those ugly days as I was there when you were all at home, cuddly cuddly. I was fighting for democracy just as I am doing now. My principles do not change.”

“But then you are acting just like Old Labour did. What’s next? Any seats for sale? Some Scrabble!”

Truly, the devil finds work for idle hands. At least he keeps himself partly amused by reading this blog.

Goodness me, does this nitwit expect to be taken seriously?
    Really?

  2. Corinne Vella says:

David Buttigieg: He is taken seriously by lots of people besides himself – the MLP scooped him up, columnists crowed over his revelations and then AD welcomed him with open arms.

    That says so much more

Goodness me! Jo Said is another of Jaysin’s long-lost bruvvers! Jo Said’s the bouncer (y’know bouncing from party to party :-) )leather jacket and Jaysin’s brown-shoes-with-a-dark suit speaks of the pull of similar bad-fashion DNA.Call in Trinny and Susannah.

CUDDLY CUDDLY???? SHUT UP!!!! I don’t care where were you in the 80’s – but I can tell you where I was. I was a 6th Form student having my girlfriend beaten up by very well known people just because she had a protest banner in her hand…. having my uncle with a bloody head, just because he had the nerve to go to a PN meeting… having myself not furthering my career in University just because someone decided to change the entry requirements to University 3 weeks before the applications opened.

I don’t know where you were Jo Said, I only know how my life was affected by these events… and many others.

I cannot say if my views will change in future, I don’t know if one day I will vote Labour or AD or God-knows-who… but until there will be one single person in Labour who was joint-accessory to the crimes (yes, crimes) committed by Labour in the 70’s and 80’s (and the pigsty is still very full with such mire) I will NOT let these thoughts even cross my mind.

You have every right to express and change your views… but please.. leave us alone!!!

Oh yes amrio … you really sound like someone who believes in freedom of speech.

[Moderator – If amrio does not believe in freedom of speech (as though we’re talking about fairies) he would not be making a speech that calls for someone to stop making a speech. Think about it.]

  8. Corinne Vella says:

Jo Said is fond of untangling knots and is in want of an occupation. He could take up knitting and weaving. That should give him plenty of knots to untangle.

  9. amrio says:

    Dave,

Rest assured that I believe in freedom of speech; in fact, you have surely noticed that in my entry, I have mentioned 2 examples where in the not-so-distant past, people have had their right of freedom of speech trampled upon.

I know what freedom of speech (and lack of it) looks like! If Jo really was fighting for democracy in the period he mentioned, he should know that one of the things we fought for was actually freedom of speech.

Of course that Jo Said, you, and everyone has freedom of speech in this blog and everywhere. What I took offense to in Jo’s writing was the blanket statements he made.

If Jo has such a good memory, doesn’t he remember having a look around him and seeing thousands of Maltese fighting for democracy? These were not cuddly cuddly at home!!

And, if I may add, not all of us have turned against the party that fought for democracy.

Luckily, most of us, although acknowledging that not everything is a bed of roses, are still loyal to the party that has brought democracy and freedom of speech back home!

As I’ve said (excuse the pun) time and time again, he’s a nutcase.

[Moderator – Gerald, there’s another one for you: The Nutcracker Suite.]

  11. the Nutcracker is actually a complete ballet moderator. But thanks for the tip.

    [Moderator – My pleasure.]

  12. Alex says:

I have been reading comments from this blog since it was launched. But I never felt such an urge to comment as I do now, after reading what this ‘bright man’ had to say, not even during those final days before election I felt such an urge.

He states many times about the arrogance that hit the NP, funny, from the little I know, this Jo left the party because he wasn’t given a high post in some government agency, talking about arrogance. He is the same arrogant guy who for some reason thought that no one better than him could manage MTA.

Dear Jo, I must admit that the NP may have become a bit more arrogant, which is a natural incidence, since it has been in power for so long. The party got its ear pulled because of that and now is trying to be more humble. You leaving the party was a step further into being less arrogant. Please, do reconsider going back to MLP, maybe even putting in your nomination for the leadership (if you were so sure about managing MTA, managing the MLP should be a piece of cake), you would do us all a big favour, since you are the symbol of arrogance and thus you would level out the two parties.

  13. Norbert Dalli says:

Hallelujah to the Saviour of democracy!!Noble Peace Prize Awards take note!!! I admire Jo Said because we are of the same opinion.”My principles do not change” While people like myself and many thousands of other people were cuddly cuddly getting beaten up by the same people Jo Said joined before the election and then ran away to join Reject Party of Malta, I am proud to say that I was there then to fight them on the streets, was there last election and will always be there not because I want anything from anybody like you Jo but democracy and peace of mind it brings along is more than enough for me. So much for not changing your principles. Hallina Jo Said.Il vera qoxra ta’ GAMBLU!

  14. Amanda Mallia says:

Hey, Gerald Fenech! – Glad to see that you’re using your surname again

  15. G. Grima says:

I suggest that Jo Said occupies his time reading Miguel Cervantes novel ‘Don Quijote De La Mancha’

  16. Amanda Mallia says:

Daph – The adjectives Jo Said attributed to you prove how much he doesn’t know you!

  17. Corinne Vella says:

G Grima: That’s too heavy. He needs to start his literary voyage with First Aid in English and then move on to How to Win Friends and Influence People.

  18. Amanda Mallia says:

To add on further to Tony Pace’s “brown shoes” comment – Never trust a long-haired man, especially if the hair is grey!

  19. Corinthian says:

Well, well, well, Mr Jo Said wants us to believe that he was fighting for democracy on our behalf, like so many other things he utters, this is yet another fable, since when the fight for democracy was on, he was engaged in a comfy role as Emperor of Mistra Village, until he became so lethargic and disengaged that he lost his crown and all (no wonder he never got anywhere close to the MTA higher echelons). Come on Jo Said you are kidding no one, if anything you are only fooling yourself, have a good look in the mirror and if you do not like what you see, don’t blame the mirror.

  20. Anton Zammit says:

I really enjoy reading what the Jo Said and Caccopardos and hunters of this world have to say after seeing the P.N. get elected again despite there best efforts, exposing them to the irrelevancy to which they truly belong. Like it or not, all you of you who thought you could keep a democratically elected government at ransom with your votes, who have now been consigned to the dustbin of history!

  21. Indannata says:

Does Jo Said want us to believe that Dr Gonzi ‘getting rid’ of Joe Saliba because he shouldered JPO? For goodness sake, what next?
Why not consider the post of MLP leader Mr Said?
