Some recommended viewing from our readers

The first ‘this is what women find attractive’ suggestions have come in from our readers (already – they must have been waiting to pounce): Harrison Ford (aka Indiana Jones), Pierce Brosnan (too well-scrubbed for my liking; you can smell the cologne through the photograph); and Johnny Depp at his least metrosexual, as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. Least metrosexual? He’s loaded down with mascara, but it looks darkly brooding rather than something that hangs around street corners on dark nights. I much preferred him as George Jung in Blow.
Keep them coming in, girls, and ask around the office in the morning. At this rate, I’m going to be sued for damages for loss of productivity.

You can feast your eyes on these two at the flicks: Eric Bana (The Other Boleyn Girl) and Gerard Butler (PS I love you).
Eyecandy.
Of metrosexuals and heterosexuals – To all the girls that have contributed:
Kemm intom helwin, daqs il-poodle toholmu…..hehehehehe
Great entertainment!
@Sisi – Yes, all the girls should go and watch The Other Boleyn Girl.
I plan to see that soon Daphne, though I have read the book, seen the BBC dramatisation, and read David Starkey’s book on Elizabeth. Any other fans of the Tudor dynasty out there?
@ Sisi
Is your nick in honour of Sissi (Elizabeth of Austria) or Elizabeth I?
I love the tudors. Have read alot of factual books as well as fiction on them. Anne Boleyn was always one of my favourite characters. Unfortunately I hated The Other Boleyn Girl (the movie not the book which was wonderful) Eric Bana – dead from the neck up with one expression all through the show and Natalie Portman had no charisma. Awful! The TV Series The Tudors was better even if it was also slightly flawed in facts.
Sorry girls!
Pierce Brosnan for me every time!
Alison Weir and Antonia Fraser have written excellent books about the Tudor period.
As for films, I prefer the first Kapur movie ‘Elizabeth’ (1998) though it takes many dramatic licenses…the storytelling is sheer joy.
For my money, though, the BBC series Elizabeth R (1971)starring Glenda Jackson is the definitive take on that era.
@ Meerkat:
I’m tempted to say Coco Chanel.
Nope – neither one of the two.
Reading books about the Tudor period, and also about the education of Elizabeth the first (she was extremely educated – which is why she was able to outwit her councillers/advisors/accusers) makes me wonder what she would have made of a few of our parliamentarians.
I have a question to the MLP leadership?
Do you think it is ethically acceptable that while there is a campaign going on between contenders for the MLP leadership, the Secretary general of the MLP, Jason Micallef meet with one of the contenders Joseph Muscat for dinner with the rest of the families in a 5 star luxury hotel in Ghajn Tuffieha?
I think that while there is the campaign going on, the Secretary General should refrain from socialising individually. This might give a wrong impression. Or is it true then, that the Secretary general has already annointed Joseph Muscat?
An explanation is eagerly awaited.
So Sisi, you’d be pleased to know that a film is planned on Coco Chanel and it will star Audrey Tautou ;-)
Re what ER I would say to our parliamentarians…
She would have sent them packing to the Globe Theatre to see the play Richard III…you know there’s the famous line “Off with his head!”
@ Meerkat
May I refer you to King Lear:
“a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing” or something to that effect.
@ ??Question??
