I always hated puppet shows, even as a kid, but I’m going to sit through this one in the interests of my work. It’s not all wine and food. This is the downside.

They’re ready to measure it:

Guess you’re gonna censor this, Mod, but I cannot help myself.
This is what they’ll use to measure it…

[Daphne – No. That’s what they’ll use to measure him.]
@ Daph…
You read my mind but I didn’t want to risk a complete censorship… watching him on PBS this measurement device fits him to a tee…the smaller measurements of course.
[Daphne – I know. I’m just visualising that face yakking through a condom.]
Anyone watching the budget debate right now? Did I get the wrong impression or is the Leader of the Opposition practically reading his speech? I believe Standing Orders forbade an MP from reading his speech! I think the Hon. Joseph is doing more than just refreshing his memory from notes.
[Daphne – That’s why he’s so damn boring. If he doesn’t read his figures, he’ll get them confused, having left his abacus at home.]
@Meerkat
Actually that’s quite handy. Can you buy those kind of things in Malta? Else I’ll buy one from ebay…
@ Daph
I thought Halloween was over…
[Daphne – Oh God, THAT’s what his face reminds me of. I’ve been looking at him while trying to write about gin cocktails, and thinking ‘But what exactly does he look like?’ Now I’ve got it, thanks to your remark about Halloween. He’s got the face of a pumpkin lantern, with those flat features, surprised eyes, nostrils and letterbox mouth.]
@ amrio
You never struck me as one who needs to measure up to people amrio ruhi…
Taghmillix hekk ta’ ghax naqa’ down…
@ Daph
and he’s ginger too…so he lends himself quite nicely…
