Perhaps he should add a section called Protocol for Dummies

Alfred Sant sets up websiteFormer Opposition and Labour Party leader Alfred Sant has launched a new website, www.alfredsant.org featuring recent and not so recent contributions in Maltese and English in Parliament and in the media. The contributions are set out under three headings: Politics; Society and Economy; Life and Culture. They range from a discussion of the lifework of St George Preca to an article about Sliema, comments about the state of the Maltese language today, an assessment of the Maltese economic model and reviews of Sant’s novels “La Bidu, La Tmiem” and “Silġ fuq Kemmuna”. The Politics section features Dr Sant’s speeches in Parliament since the last elections.

Or another section – Buzzword your way to success –
There’s a goldmine of material there, korruzzjoni lampanti, fazull, barunijiet, hbieb tal-hbieb, power of incumbency, bir-rispett kollu, svizzera fil-mediterran, bidu gdid.
I’m sure you can recall many more :-)
[Daphne – Hofra, politika mmuffata, gvern immuffat, partnerxipp rebah, politika moderna, ic-cittadin l-ewwel…..]
looking forward to his blog too!
[Daphne – Actually, I am, too. At least the man can spell.]

you guys forgot the infamous “Gonnnnnnnnziiiiiii”
Ma nwiegibx mistoqsijiet ipotetici
As expected, the home page features……a photograph of his bookshelves. And the list of articles is topped by the three pieces he wrote on his cancer experience: cancer 1, 2 and 3. He takes a proctological approach to even a deeply disturbing life event, but sees fit to list them at the top, when they are not the last articles he wrote, so that we can say jahasra miskin. As for the rest: typical Santian approach to technology. When I clicked through half the links, nothing happened, and when I clicked on the rest, each article took forever to download and I gave up.
I think it’s a very good blog so far and there are some interesting posts, too. Didn’t have any problems with download times… Can’t comment on the political content, though. Not my forte.
[Daphne – I couldn’t get in at all, and I’ve got a powerful computer.]
he was for a time chairman of the island’s leading clothing factory Bortex and of the foundry Metalfond, among other consulting and management assignments that took him to Libya, Swaziland, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Malaysia, California, Benelux, and Pakistan……I wouldn’t write these on my CV! not something to be proud of…METALFOND.
[Daphne – Bortex is a very good company and makes some excellent suits for Europe’s high-end names. But quite frankly, the chairmanship was one of those political appointments some companies like to go for.]
I know that! I can be an iblah imma mhux daqshekk! Thats why i stressed METALFOND
This is what I noticed:
“Between 1984 and 1988, Sant was married to Mary Darmanin and he has a daughter Marta.”
HE not THEY – keeping a grammatical distance….
Was married? I didn’t know we have a special exemption in our legal system, which allows Important Persons to divorce their spouses. He’s either still married, or he was never married, or he got divorced overseas. In Sant’s case it’s the second: he was never married. His marriage was declared null and void. That’s what ‘declared null’ means. It was never there to start with.
C. Camilleri – Maybe you meant Dottttttorrrrrrrr Gooooooonziiiiiii
Daphne – “At least the man can spell”
Oh no he can’t: “It has been converted into a jungle of concrete monstrUosities” ( http://www.alfredsant.org/pages/dassingle.asp?id=148 )
Paraventu, traditur…..
Apparently MB has been approached to host and maintain the forthcoming Agouny Aunt section of the web site.
.. and the usual obligatory CV featuring where he studied etc etc etc – like we didn’t know.
