The police never said it was cannabis

Clarification
by WPC255 Roberta Fenech
Reference is hereby made to the article “Something about this soap business just doesn’t wash” penned by Daphne Caruana Galizia and published on 18 January.
Contrary to what Ms Caruana Galizia wrote in her article, the Police Force in its press release of 29 December never stated that it “…seized 30 kilos of cannabis…” but only mentioned that three large packets were seized.

Groundhog Day!
…to which I’d add, if they weren’t drugs then why would the police seize them?
[Daphne – Because they thought they were illegal drugs.]
@WPC255 Roberta Fenech
Fine.
Now please also clarify what happened to Nicholas Azzopardi in the police depot. I think that is of more interest to the general public than what you did or did not say about those packets.
…actually, 30Kg of anything packed in bags on a yacht must look suspicious, don’t you think?
@wpc255 Roberta Fenech
Madam, would you kindly inform the public about the status of the Prof. Anthony Zammit case (or is it a sex scandal)?
@Daphne
Did you notice that despite you pronouncing yourself a zillion times on this case, Ms Fenech has never come out with a statement. Interesting…
[Daphne – I wouldn’t pick on Police Constable Fenech. She has no authority to release information, and may not have the information even. She’s is just the person delegated to sign on behalf of the Police Commissioner.]
Hey Daphne!
Guess you’re too young to remember the ‘Keystone Cops’. Think they’ve been reincarnated on the Rock.
@Harry Purdie
Slapstick? Guys slipping on a cake of soap?
No way!
Andrea, They didn’t ‘slip on’, they ‘slipped up’.
@Daphne,
Of course I would not pick on PC Fenech. She’s obviously just the spokesperson, PR or whatever. Hopefully she’ll pass on the message to her boss, the Police Commissioner, who is obviously hoping this very nasty story will just go away. He is responsible for seeing that justice is done with the aggrieved, in this case poor Professor Zammit!
@Harry
My slip-up!
