    Posted beneath the immigrants stories:

Dear President….please call Perit Mintoff in your office and sworn him in as our new Prime Minister…..from what I heard lately he is our only hope for this problem…..if we’re not already too late

    Dear Times,
May I suggest this subject be your next on-line poll…..can’t wait for its results ’cause everyone seems to be of the same opinion!

I’m seriously thinking of moving away from this island! This is getting… scary.

Gonzi, wake up….we are livinving in GONZO LAND. QUM, STENBAH, TAF X`INHU GHADEJJ ??

    @ Eddie Fenech Adami
What are you going to do without Molly Bordonaro? Who is going to organise the garden party for the Somalis coming in?

  3. P Shaw says:

    This is a minority government!!!!!

GonziPN does not have the legiimate right to govern and hence must consult with our great leader DR JOSEPH MUSCAT.

  4. DM says:

“I am not a racist but….” must be my favourite!

  5. Corinne Vella says:

Another Marsa comment from someone who does not live in Marsa (quote: Dennis Catania, who lives in the USA)

    How cheeky they are!!!!!

    lets protest

    the people have spoken

How I wish I’ll emigrate to Libya

The EU should better increase sea patrols with ‘turn back’ mandate.

    THIS IS SIMPLY UNBELIEVABLE!

    Peter Camilleri:

That would be ‘craps up’, wouldn’t it? The quoted words are real commentspeak.

  8. Carmel Said says:

Can I nominate lgalea as the tosser of the century, if such an award exists

  9. F Chircop says:

Nothing beats the infinite number of exclamation marks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Daphne Caruana Galizia says:

How is it possible that with all this going on our big heads remain passive? What arrogance. As if they are turning a blind eye to the overall call and pleas of the people and as if they are not reading these comments. I am sure that true and faithful Maltese will show these people what we mean comes election time. Every vote cast for these people will be like adding another nail to the coffin. It would be like signing your death warrant to satisfy their egos. If they do not care for us the answer is DO NOT CARE FOR THEM, after all they are not worth it. Let them go to Europe for their solutions where they will be given a rope to hang themselves. They have let the country down and sold it for a few millions of Euros. But you all know what happened to JUDA. Yes, almost all is lost but “mill mitluf tiehu li tista” so give them a taste of their own medicine.

Hope at least that whatever they burnt and broke, is NOT replaced or repaired now! Dr Gonzi is a bazwi PM. You have got to get him out of Castille.

  12. Charles Cauchi says:

Heard Anglu Farrugia on SuperOne radio complaining that there is too much impartiality at PBS.

    [Daphne – Oh, glorious!]

  13. Andrea says:

With regards to Tony Pace’s friend:

‘It is all over now!’and ‘It’s a DESASTER’

  14. Marku says:

And let’s not forget the grammatically correct comments, often seething with rage, by British expatriates in Malta. Their argument, not always explicitly stated of course, goes something like this: “I bought a flat in sunny Malta to escape from the wogs and pakis back home and now these people have followed me here too! Dear Maltese, who don’t you have the guts to stand up to them (like you stood up to the Germans and the Italians when we were running the show here)?

[Daphne – Yes, I’ve always wondered about that. They come to live among wops and then complain about the wogs.]

  15. Paul Caruana says:

“I am utterly disgusted to say the least…”

    “Joseph”

“We are a pajjiz tal-Mickey Mouse!”

And lgalea’s signature catchphrase: “SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!”

  16. Paula FS says:

For a long while lgalea would leave out the ‘n’ (or should that be ‘N’) in his rants about the ‘illegal IMMIGRATS’, though lately he seems to have corrected that. He still provides quite a few gems though, as for example ‘Either expel them ALL or RESIGN Mr pair of string hands’ today…

  17. Leonard says:

The man’s still a bit upset he didn’t get the Presidency. He’ll come good.

  18. Amanda Mallia says:

Glenn Borg (3 hours, 25 minutes ago)
I think our soldiers should be harsh on these people. They have food, drink and where to sleep, shall we polish their shoes too?

  19. J.L.B.Matekoni says:

My favorite is Cattle of Fish

  20. NGT says:

A couple more: compliments of Igalea

    Gonezi

    Shengenn

  21. Ann DeMarco says:

This one gave me a headache:

ALEXANDER GENUIS (3 hours, 24 minutes ago)
WHAT WE SAW TESTERDAY IT WAS EVIDENT,THIS IS AN ORGANISED SITUATION!!!THEY WENT TO GREET THEM,THEY KNEW ABOUT THEM!!!!!THEY CONTACT THEM TO COME HERE!!!!!OF COURSE THEY COME,EVERYTHING FOR FREE!!!!PROTEST???FOR WHAT???WE MUST DEPORT THEM BACK,YESTERDAY THEY LOOKED FRESH AND STRONG LIKE ARRIVING FROM GOZO!!!!!COME ON,WE ARE BECOMING THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE E.U. 22. Leonard says:

“Dear President…please call Perit Mintoff in your office and sworn him in as our new Prime Minister”

Do you think that whoever wrote this is aware that the person who he/she is called “Dear” is Eddie Fenech Adami?

Farewell Malta! We loved you dearly but now the dream of our beautiful nation has gone, destroyed by the arrogance and inaction of Gonzipn.

Bye bye Malta and welcome Mafrica!

Michael Galea (22 hours, 6 minutes ago)
MALTA IS DYING…….SOMALTA IS BEING BORN….
WE HAVE TO SEND THESE IMMIGRANTS BACK

And this one must beat the lot:
CLIFFORD VELLA (23 hours, 14 minutes ago)
Do you know what the illigal imigrant said from the boat to the one on land? ” I hope that they will still giving us the Euro 5000 until we go out from the ditenstion centre”

The other one of land replied ” I hope that by that time there will be still this offer from EU, not like the one of the refregiators AA+ that they had last year, by the way you came exactly in time . Now there is another offer for us as from yesterday. The new one is about the solar heaters and panelles. So you are going to have Euro 465 first and then they will give you another Euro 5000 before you leave. It is good that they will give you Euro 5000 before you leave so you will not spend your money but you will spend Gonzi money in Malta”

  24. Harry Purdie says:

“Malta cannot afford these economical illigal imigrants”.

  25. Corinne Vella says:

J.L.B.Matekoni: That sounds likes something out of Dr Seuss, though I doubt the original author of the expression would know who that is.

  26. J.L.B.Matekoni says:

…I also love this little gem which was on MIA’s weather report some time back

Mostly sunny becoming rather dark overnight

@ P.N. Lovers…………..Stop swallow half the truth about the Guantanamo Bay issue. The fact is that there were two motions. A. the E.U. accept and agreed with the U.S. President to close down this prison. B. That if possible countries from E.U accept part of these prisoners. Now when they come to vote there was a disagreement between the E.U. members on the second motion, but because there was a total agreement on the first motion, everything is at ease. But do not forget, that we are like married couple now with the E.U.and if they accept ,we have to accept, even if the P.L. members voted against. Do not forget also that your government gave to the U.S.A. a big area at ta Qali, which is going to be developed to be the largest embassy in all Europe, and I strongly believe, that the reason that the crafts village project stopped, is because all ta Qali is going to be a United State Village. including all the sports facilities. We wait and see. Personally I have nothing against if this happened.

To continue with Malcom Azzopardi, ANR please organise another protest and e-mail all EU members media ASAP

we are paying allot of tax..lossing ours jobs……….and we pay this people to go back!!!are we donkeys??? jew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets create a diplomatic crisis and pass the EU as a fool. Pack them up in a boat and lend them in France and than let them loose also fill a plane with them and lend them in Brussels

I join with Joseph Mifsud, Who Does?

The new EU law should if the goverment has guts be enforced without favour or fear and I believe that the best man to do it is the PS for Lands. He has got them believe me.

  28. Antoine Vella says:

“Get rid of ALL the illegal immigrants the moment they set foot in Malta” was a comment by the usual Igalea.

I made a report to the police about this particular comment because I think it instigates violence. I got an acknowledgment, a reference number (5325/2/2009) and an assurance that there would be a reply within 3 working days but this was 10 days ago and there has been no word from the police. I have phoned twice and emailed to no avail.

For some reason, my report got filed under ‘child abuse’ which is obviously wrong and although, last week, I pointed this out to the CMRU and they agreed that it was filed by mistake, it has not been changed yet.

  29. Andrea says:

Even the Swiss seem to like yelling ‘WAKE UP’!
Or is it ‘Swiss fabrication’ made in Malta?

–Elena Kuersteiner (7 hours, 39 minutes ago)
Dear all! My family leave in Switzerland and we have also hause in Malta.Any time we came to holiday ,so using publick transport.Often bus driver say:”FULL UP!”,wenn we try to go by bus some where from Valetta…Maybe u try the same with looking for profit Illigal Immigrants? It is 5 to 12 o clock! It s very naive to think that it s people nead really help-it s why they came..Also any integration-cultural,politikal or religious-it s an ILLUSION !WAKE UP-NAIVE MALTESE PEOPLE !—

  30. Daphne Caruana Galizia says:

The government is stalling because its teeth are not sharp enough to make a decision

The International Community is doing nothing to help us, so if they accuse us of not doing our duties, we can reply to them to shut up as they said nothing when we went out of our way and accepted more than we can handle and none of them lifted a finger, so if they did not lift a finger then, they should keep their mouth shut, unless they are willing to take on a few thousands of what we have.

  31. John Schembri says:

The best cliche’ I read nearly every day is ” THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS” . I always wondered what this mother-of-all-solutions called ‘something’ is. The other one is : “il-kelliem tal-partit” (there are around 32 of them) STAQSA” for the pea-brained listener it means AKKUZA instead of the literal translation and non-libellous ASKED.

  32. Giancarlo says:

    “This is UNBELEAVABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!”

    J.Pace (8 hours, 23 minutes ago)
How many Policemen and Soldier we have in Malta?
How many Immigrants we have now ?
In case of an emergency what will we do ?

Did EU countries helped Malta ?
    What GonziPN is doing ?

  33. Amanda Mallia says:

Mandy Dalli (7 hours, 16 minutes ago)
This is UNBELEAVABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!! If the goverment keeps on giving money to those imirants who are leaving OUR COUNTRY, no wonder more keep comming back.

  34. Amanda Mallia says:

Azzopardi Json (9 hours, 41 minutes ago)

Immigration is part of, and goes hand in hand with globalization. Today we have a black man in the white houses, most probably within few decades we see an Indian, Pakistani or an Arab ruling in Buckingham palace. This is the natural evolving of globalization process.

  35. Amanda Mallia says:

@Paula FS – “For a long while lgalea would leave out the ‘n’ (or should that be ‘N’) in his rants about the ‘illegal IMMIGRATS’, though lately he seems to have corrected that.”

    He’s done it again:

    “L..Galea (33 minutes ago)
SEND THEM BACK WITHOUT ANY MONEY.
GIVING THEM ANY MONEY IS A CROWD OR RATHER ILLEGAL IMMIGRATS MAGNET.”

His “N” key must be jammed, possibly with bile.

  36. Harry Purdie says:

Amazing. The ‘comments’ just keep coming. Truly amazing.

  37. Leonard says:

This is really a great way of whiling away the time when you’re stuck at home with what feels like the mother of all colds. The comments below relate to just one TOM article and I have tried to avoid repeating what has already been highlighted:

by summer we will be swarmed like bees over honey.

This boat was sailing on its own steam it seems

Malta is going in the dumps

Can we have a Xarabank or Bondiplus programme on this serious issue not waste time on unimportant topics.

Dear Hon. Austin Gatt can you please do something? I know you are our Prime Minister number 2 …

Please tell me it is a dream and I did not understand.

the alarm bell is much more than red!!!

Wake up Malta – your country needs you NOW!

take a deep look at this video!!….

SHAME ON ALL THAT ARE ALLOWING THIS..

Until Malta abdicates its responsabilities these people will keep on coming.

This is the beginning of the end for Malta.

I THINK THIS REALLY IS THE END OF MALTA.

    So that’s it –
“The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
    This is the end.”

  38. dusty says:

I have nothing against them ta’….

  39. Corinne Vella says:

Is it a coincidence that stories relating to immigration attract the most incoherent comments? Take these, for example:

“Our comments need to be put up on billboards and DEMONSTRATE!!!!!!!!! This is organised crime at its best!!!!!!!”

“Globalisation profits the few. We’re living in ‘Germinal’ world! Black in Buckingham?… what a joke! For the Royal Family – Africans, historically, have always been slaves. In Malta, we are incapable of learning from other countries experiences. A society can only function when there is 1 principal culture and others to compliment in.”

  40. Andrea says:

Somehow those ‘comments’ seem to be penned by one and the same author: organised crime.

  41. Corinne Vella says:

The thin red line is going to strap soon, and then our great Prime Minister, will blame us, you them, the Opposition , everyone EXCEPT himself and his Party. Sheep bleat!

James Saliba (1 hour, 50 minutes ago)
EU seem that it doesn’t care about our problem regarding these illegal imigrants, in my oppinion I’ll give these imigrants a Maltese ctizinship and fly them to Brussels, with Maltese ctizinship they have to accept them, suppose.

  42. Corinne Vella says:

Can anyone understand what he’s saying?

Joe Xuereb (1 hour, 50 minutes ago)
Sadly, too many too many tongue-in-cheek comments here. Totally inappropriate/pointless. This is serious. Too many inciting to action. Pointless. Action has to be legitimate with hands kept clean.
I have often noticed Maltese leaders caught on camera. Photo shoots I I think they call them. All holding their own hands (insecure or what) and smiling benignly into each other’s eyes, spouting pleasantries. Women’s Institute coffee mornings have more gumption (sorry ladies!). Where are these stalwarts now that we need them.
Gonzi, the elect one, is interested but sitting this one out. The other one with clout is the one in the long dress. An expert at intercession I would have thought (when not wringing his hands and, again benignly, spouting love and other inanities to the marginalised). He can be made to sit up and take note. Go to Church with placards but do not go in. So you commit a mortal sin (still the case? I’ve been away). Malta is Catholic (not me, note). You have a wonderful loophole called confession. Committing one more sin and confessing it later is not going to make a difference. Your future, and your children’s is at stake. That counts for nothing?

  43. Corinne Vella says:

Joe Fenech (3 hours, 14 minutes ago)
Incompetent government!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone takes the mickey out of us!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’ve made Malta in the most laughable nation in Europe.

  44. Corinne Vella says:

Marina Klen (6 hours, 34 minutes ago)
That´ s what for Knights of St. John had built their fortresses !!!!!!!!!!!! Why people in Malta keep forgeting their history? It is a pity to see Maltese Island´s to be abused so much, basicly being robbed off their Identity. 700 migrants in 2 month !!!!!!!!!!! There must be a tour operator working over time to promote Malta in Africa… Why the Authorities will not take more interest in such a successful business enterprise. I am sure the same migrants will have something to say to it….. Give another 3 years like this and Malta will become unrecognizable… What a waste!

    Tim.G (4 hours, 16 minutes ago)
hahahahaha italy and libya are already patrolling. since then our problem became worse. now they’re coming in pack of 200+. some one must be in bed with the E/union

TAKE TO THE STREETS. PROTESTS. THAT IS ALL WE HAVE LEFT TO DO BEFORE THE ISLAMIZATION OF MALTA IS SEALED IN HISTORY. NOBODY WILL GIVE A TOSS FOR OUR PREDICAMENT THEN. SO MUCH FOR OUR FLIRTING WITH THE EU!!!!

CLIFFORD VELLA (3 hours, 10 minutes ago)
Now Joe Azzopardi of Xarabank should make a programme about illigal immigrant not 2 years ago when everything was quite. You see Mr Azzopardi what’s happened now????
