As a MEP Candidate in the JUNE 06TH , 2009, ELECTIONS and in the light of what I have been pressing all along,THE PEOPLE ARE DECIDEDLY PREOCCUPIED AT THE CURRENT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION SITUATION WHICH IS FAST APPROACHING THE ROAD OF NO RETURN.THE CONTESTING CANDIDATES MUST MAKE THEIR POSITION CRYSTAL CLEAR ON THIS ISSUE BEARING IN MIND THE ROLE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT WITH ITS LIMITED CO-DECISION LEGISLATIVE POWERS AND ITS OVERALL PLACE WITHIN THE STRUCTURE OF THE PRINCIPAL EC INSTITUTIONS.THIS IN MIND, DR MUSCAT IS ALMOST ADVOCATING PULLING OUT OF THE EU IF HIS MESSAGE IS READ BETWEEN THE LINES,BECAUSE AS LONG AS WE ARE IN THE EU,THE THIRD PILLAR OF THE EC WHICH ENCOMPASSES IMMIGRATION WITH ASYLUM WILL MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR MALTA TO HAVE IT ITS OWN WAY.GOVERNMENT – YES A MINORITY GOVERNMENT – IS ELUDING ITS RESPONSIBILITIES – THE PM MUST TAKE THE MATTERS IN HIS OWN HANDS AND HAVE A CORE GROUP WHO HAVE THE TRUE INTERESTS OF MALTA AT HEART,NOT THOSE WHO TRY TO MANIPULATE THE SITUATION FOR THEIR PERSONAL INTERESTS AS WAS ABOUT TO OCCUR WITH THE ST JOHN`S FOUNDATION ATTROCITY.DOES THE GOVERNMENT HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN ?

Emy Bezzina has the gall to speak of ‘the minority government’. He’s a nothing – just paroli, with no substance. He’s anticlerical and anti-social. He says he’s progressive; he says he’s a liberal. Progressive in what? In insulting the Catholic Church for his own personal reasons? Insulting morality for his own personal enjoyment? It’s true that the government doesn’t have 50% + 1, but it is the majority party. The wisdom of prime minister Gonzi will see it through.
