Baron Ironblood
King Norman Lowell has knighted his chief henchman, ‘Chevalier’ Jonathan Paul Cuschieri, who goes by the name of Baron Ironblood on the racist internet site and discussion forum (how and why Africans are inferior to Jonathan Paul Cuschieri and Norman Lowell, and why they look like apes but Jonathan and Norman don’t) Vivamalta.
The chevalier thinks that Baron Ironblood sounds nice and strong, and has that ring of drama about it. But Baron Ironblood is a British cartoon character of the 1980s, who appeared in a comic-book called Battle Action Force. He was cast as an action figure by Palitoy and distributed in European markets to brighten up Christmas morning for seven-year-old boys.
Baron Ironblood led the Red Shadows, sworn enemies of Action Force. His real name and birthplace are unknown, though they are certainly not Jonathan Paul Cuschieri, Malta. His strength is organisational military strategy and he is a born leader, but he has – and here I quote Battle Action Force – “twisted criminal brain dreams of world dominance” and “hypnotic control over men…..his madness leads to wild fury in defeat, often taken out on his own troops.” He is a “genius of evil” and his “sworn intent is to destroy all organised government in Europe.” He wears long black boots, reminiscent of German military uniforms in World War II.
I don’t know about Chevalier Jonathan Paul Cuschieri, but you can see where Norman got his inspiration: a comic-book anti-hero. You have to laugh.

Is there a reason why the character wears a jockstrap on the outside of his pants? Or is that part of some colour-coordinated thermal underwear?

A deeper insight shall reveal that this particular Ironblood is not actually a racist. However, having said that may I expand my views on the matter of illegal immigration and skin colour, for loss of better terms, by suggesting you read this article of mine from 2005.
You should already be familiar with it considering that it was published just over-page from your own regular opinion on TMIS. Nobody commented then. Now that is known that I am (or factually was) a regular poster on VM, shall it change anything?
The assumption that everyone at VM is a racist is as petty a generalisation as the notion that all the members of any race are dirty, stupid, evil or whatever else. Last by not least, I am strongly opposed to gross migration (legal or otherwise),of any type of people/s or race/s, particularly if such is being done in order for those concerned to benefit from European welfare and related motives. Even more so when one considers the flagrant abuse of the refugee acts and treaties. This does not make me feel superior or inferior to anyone. In my case, the notion of superiority is wholly irrelevant.

I support Norman Lowell because I have seen just how malicious the media can be and how easily the people in this country allow themselves to be misled and manipulated.
I support him for he is entitled to an opinion, just like anyone else. In a real democracy and state of freedom, people should be able to declare their political / social, affiliation and beliefs without any fear of retribution.
When any authority or establishment starts declares any particular topic, phrase or idea as illegal, such becomes forbidden and in contrast to the set beliefs and ideas.
That to me is far more dangerous than Lowell shall ever be, for it equates to what led Nazis, Soviets, and other radical regimes to lock people away. People were arrested and persecuted due to their having a different opinion to the ‘acceptable’ one within the respective societies of the time.
In 2008, Norman Lowell was given a suspended sentence due to expressing opinions which to the establishment were not ‘acceptable’.
I support Lowell because I appreciate his courage and perseverance, in still fighting on to air his opinion, despite all sorts of slander, intimidation, his arrests, sentence, and lots of other related troubles.
“A disgraceful fool” is a prejudiced as well as a subjective way to refer to me.
Nothing wrong with that, particularly since we all have our own prejudices and differences in perception and opinion. To you, my presence and speech rendered me a disgraceful fool.
Well, to me it was a simple exercise in democracy. I had an opinion and chose to share it with others and at a Lowell Supper. Disgraceful fools are those who keep their mouths shut in the face of prejudice!

To Baron Ironblood: Would I be correct to say that you support Norman Lowell both because you are in favour of his right of expression but also because you endorse his silly fantasies? Just asking.
I must say that I am all in favour that Norman Lowell be allowed to hold forth as much as he likes. Indeed I think that attempts to shut him up are crass, primitive and counter productive. Having said that, I will never support him or call him ‘my leader.’
Norman Lowell is trying to cultivate the image of a persecuted political idealist on some high intellectual plane. If you listen to what he says and read what he writes, as I have done, you will quickly find out that the man is nothing more than a deluded bungler with scant grip of historical and scientific facts. In my opinion he is gulity of one ‘sin’ that is all too common in the Maltese society we live in, it is the sin of mediocrity.

I’ve never been asked for my race/ethnics when I was creating a user profile. Nationality suffices.
Baron Ironblood, I read your article in The Malta Independent. What you’re saying, essentially, is that you’re not a racist but you don’t want Africans to come to Malta. “However, even if we had the money, space and all the rest, I would still be against the influx of these people/s. This has nothing to do with racism or anything of the sort.”
And the conclusion:

Let’s say that by the end of this century Malta has it first prime minister of African origin (though I think we’ll see an Afro-archbishop first due to the decline in vocations among the Maltese). As long as the person is honest, intelligent and competent, so what? I have more respect for someone who goes around wearing a T-shirt with the words “I hate niggers” than someone who says “I’m not a racist but …”.
