Ara min kien hemm ukoll fil-femili holitej ta’ Muscat. Nel gruppo di turisti Maltesi in visita al Sindaco era presente anche Mario Galea, Presidente dei Commercilisti di Malta, tutti accompagnati dalle famiglie, che non hanno mancato di ammirare la bellissima Aula Consiliare. Questi non sono turisti occasionali, bensì turisti per sempre, della nostra zona che è l’Altipiano Ibleo. Infatti, tutti, tranne Mister Muscat, hanno comprato qui casa per le vacanze.
Il fatto che gente come loro hanno scelto la nostra zona per la villegiatura di sempre è un fatto molto positivo perché diventa veicolo trainante per tanti altri Maltesi. Antonello Buscema e gli ospiti Maltesi hanno discusso di molti argomenti con precisà volonta di collaborare in un progetto di mirato allo sviluppo dell’interscambio tra Malta ed il Comune di Modica. La famiglia Muscat con i suoi amici, ha contnuato la mattinata in una passegiata nel Corso Umberto, per poi rientrare al Bed & Breakfast Pozzo Cassero, ove era ospite personale di Saro Scarso.

What should really put the cat among the pigeons for Muscat and Anglu would be for the Mayor of Giarratana to receive an internet link to anti-Sicilian hairdresser and mafia extracts from their anti-EU accession speeches. The article is not even correct. It states that Muscat was elected as an MP in the recent elections.

What hypocrites! I like the ‘Mister’ Muscat – and why do they always insist on dressing down instead of dressing up when meeting with ‘sindachi’ etc? We need to show these Italians that we have good dress sense. How are we going to get them to come over here if our supposed representatives look like something the cat brought in?

Looks like it was not a ‘family holiday’ at all, then, but that they both had meetings with what they perceive to be important Sicilians, so that on their return they could impress the uneducated masses, before the president’s farewell dinner was set up and put a rocket under that plan.
These people have absolutely no clue. I should think that JM and AF would have earned the respect of the Sicilians had they politely advised them that the meetings would have to be postponed owing to Muscat’s duty as Leader of the Opposition to be present at the farewell dinner organised by the Prime Minister for the President of Malta [who is also a much-respected political personality in Italy/EU as well].

For correctness sake, the article states that all apart from Joseph Muscat purchased property there. It really does look bad though especially on Anglu Farrugia, whose socialist credentials have now gone completely down the toilet.
Anglu Farrugia lost his credentials – socialist or otherwise – when he was still a policeman, hounding and harassing whoever dared stand up to the regime.
