OMG! Claudette's spammed me yet again

If you love your daddy, vote No. 1 Claudette

If you love your daddy, vote No. 1 Claudette

I’ve just opened my in-box and found yet another spam message from Claudette Abela Baldacchino – and once more, it’s not in the junk mail folder.

This time, she’s telling me that if I love my daddy, I should give her my number one vote. I can’t see the connection. Can you?

More interestingly still, she’s spammed everyone without knowing whether 1. their father is alive; 2. their father is estranged; 3. their father lives with somebody else’s children; 4. their father did a runner; 5. their father is an alcoholic who beats them up; 6. their mother put down ‘father unknown’ on their birth certificate.

Truly, Labour has lived up to its promise of fielding candidates ‘from all walks of life.’

Here’s Claudette’s message – and there’s the Labour Party’s beloved definite article, right at the start of the thing. Enjoy!

(Signed)

The Daphne

P.S. Don’t miss the ‘poyim’ at the end.
P.P.S. Yes, I know I’m a real antipatika – love you too.

The Father’s Day is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad – the special man in our life. We often forget the sacrifice of our fathers and the roles they have played in shaping our lives. Father’s Day gives us the opportunity to show and express our love and care to this man, who deserves our support most. Father’s Day is the most appropriate platform to make us look beyond ‘our own’ family and honor the man who brought us joy and happiness. Father’s Day is a day to honour not only your father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in your life – whether as Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or “Big Brothers.”

The word ‘Father’ is often used to honour spiritual leaders, inventors and originator of an idea, product, service or person. It is so, that fathers have always been associated with guidance and protection, as the person who can be loved, respected and looked up to. Let’s use the Father’s Day to let these special men know what place they have in our lives and what influence they have on us. The Father’s Day will be celebrated on 21st June 2009 and don’t forget to make this day special day more special!

Father’s Day is a time of burnt toast and breakfast in bed, family gatherings, and crayon scribbled “I Love You Dad”.

A Short Poem dedicated to my Father

Daddy I Love You
Daddy, I love you
For all that you do.
I’ll kiss you and hug you
‘Cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile ’cause I love you
On this Father’s Day.

Make June 21st a SPECIAL DAY for Dad. He deserves the best.

Make June 6th a memorable day for Claudette by giving her your first preference in the European Parliament Elections.

I almost feel sorry for her. Whose advice is she following?

No Daph, I see no connection either. Maybe it’s the burnt toast.

What has one got to do with the other? I think she has run out of ideas and it spells last minute panic. Just trust these people to represent us….u mela mhux hekk.

  5. Jo says:

Daphne, perhaps her father worked so hard to get us into the EU that she owes him the opportunity of contesting this special election. If elected she would have the power to prevent any attempts by future LP governments to build rubish dumps near Hagar Qim and in Wied Fulija as they did in the glorious years of the Mintoffian era.

  6. Hamalla says:

As one would say in Maltese, “X’iz-z*bb?”

  7. Tonio Farrugia says:

Reminds me of those commercials that try to be witty and entertaining. They do everything except give you a single reason to want to buy the product. Claudette seems to be trying to do the same — sending out “witty” emails (probably copied from some US website) with a flimsy connection to urging you to vote for her. In the end it is just a non sequitur and falls flat on its face.

Give me a box of tissues…quick….I am crying my eyes out. What the hell is she thinking of? The mind boggles.

“the sacrifice of our fathers” Where and when did this happen I wonder.

  14. davina sullivan says:

Are you sure she is sending these emails? Could she be that stupid? Maybe someone who dislikes her is sending them on her behalf. Surely she can’t be that daft?
