To be honest, I think it’s hilarious. Only incompetent half-wits and cowardly despots are afraid of what is written by the pen. The rest either debate it or suck it up and face the music.
Some people need their cage rattled and Daphne is doing just that. What we need is not her to stop writing but more journalists with the same kind of focus.

Last week was the week that was and it looks as it will roll over into this week. Rumours about the magistrate/architect scandal had been flying around for a while, but nobody had the courage to expose such unacceptable “magisterial” behaviour.

This is not a question of politics, but a question of having a serious magistrate in office. How can one party to such extent and then expect to wake up the day after in a sober mood and judge people? I think we all and I mean ALL deserve much better.
I agree with you 100% – it’s sad in a way though, as I believe this is only the tip of the iceberg.
I have stared reading this blog only last week. Honestly am really sad that our values have taken such a downturn. All is not lost both for the Magistrate and for the architect, but only if they recognise their mistakes and return to the moral values taught to them by their parents. Courage, both of you. Truly it is difficult, but it is never too late, especially for Robert as such a young age to ruin the love and joy of a stable family. Your wife, if convinced of your repentance, will most probably forgive you and give another chance. The joy will be tremendous for both of you.
As for Daphne, she is an investigative journalist, but I would rather prefer if this subject is now closed.

Harry if this is the real world, I would rather stay out. These stories are an indication that Maltese society is heading for the worse. However, the majority of Maltese families are wholesome. Hence, my sincere appeal to the magistrate and to the architect to change course so as to find peace and serenity.
Victor, I have no doubt about the wholesomeness of the majority of Maltese families, my grandchildren are an integral part of a wonderful Maltese/Canadian household here. However, these two are beyond the pale–resurrection/redemption? Not a hope. I humbly suggest you leave that to the men in skirts.
The very least the Chief Justice can do is to suspend all cases scheduled to appear before Magistrate Consie. She is not worthy of the position she occupies (in court or elsewhere).
