A young and attractive bus

Consuelo in her younger days

Given that I defamed the magistrate by calling her a middle-aged bus, I feel the need to compensate by showing you a picture of what she looked like in her younger years.

Good thing Robert Musumeci isn’t a bus-snatcher, or he’d really go for this one.

I think this is how she’d prefer to be known.

Justice Commission says it has taken no decisions on Magistrate Herrera

The Commission for the Administration of Justice in a short statement this evening said it has taken no decisions to date in any proceedings before it involving Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera.

The Commission was referring to reports carried on the media.

The Magistrate on Monday gave evidence in court in defamation proceedings launched by the police at her request against columnist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

    • Alan says:

Twice in one sitting. Now tomorrow she’ll say she was confused …… again. I think she is so delusional that she actually believed the Commissiom would ‘cover up’ for her by saying nothing to contradict her.

Hawn xi hadd ghandu xi ritratt ta’ xi giddieba ha naraw ezatt kif tkun?

U hallina Daphne ruhi! She wishes she looked as sweet as that poor little wooden bus in your picture. I had to face her at school across a refectory table during lunch.
    Every day.
    For two years.

I suppose I should be grateful no one came and played with her hair, though I’d have given a lot (even unto my last ham sandwich) to have some sleazy cop come and take her away.

My name on this blog is my initial and maiden surname. It’s what she used to call me. Apparently the fruit of the loins of Judge Herrera is incapable of pronouncing the name Pat.

What did she call Superintendent Patrick Spiteri, I wonder.

Dak Robert Musumeci, miskin, vera qata’ qalbu mil-hajja biex imur ma dik il-kruha….qiesa gwardarobba.

    • La Redoute says:

Careful. Comparison to a desk resulted in a defamation case and the threat of a prison sentence. Imagine what comparison to a wardrobe would mean.

Kif qatt xi darba tista tinsa isem ta’ Supretendent li deher quddiemek b’akkuza serja bhal dik? Meta dan anke jixrob mieghek kien ikun.

    @ Leon

Il-‘Commission’ anke rapporti ohra fuq l-Imhallef Lino Farrugia Sacco u l-Magistrat Antonio Mizzi ghandha quddiema u dawn ilhom zmien twil. Imma qatt ma’ hadet passi serji. Ghaliex dan?

    From reports carried on timesofmalta.com

Monday, 8th March 2010 – “The magistrate also referred to comments about property in Gozo and said that when this case first came up, she referred to the Commission for the Administration of Justice which confirmed there was no wrongdoing.”

Tuesday, 9th March 2010 – “The magistrate also referred to allegations that she had made a property deal together with a lawyer. She denied it and said she had declared all her assets to the Commission for the Administration of Justice and was found to have done no wrong.”

Wednesday, 10th March 2010 – “The Commission for the Administration of Justice in a short statement this evening said it has taken no decisions to date in any proceedings before it involving Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera.”

Wednesday, 10th March 2010 – “Magistrate Herrera’s lawyer, Stephen Tonna Lowell, in a statement this evening said that the Magistrate in her testimony on Monday never said or implied that any proceedings before the commission had been decided.”

Perhaps Dr Scerri Herrera meant to refer to some other commission when she was testifying under oath. You know . . . mistaken identities and all that. I wonder if she will now try to phone the chairman to explain.

    @ Riya

    “Ghaliex dan?”

Ghax biex jinbidlu r-regolamenti tal-‘Commission for the Administration of Justice’ irid ikun hemm zewg terzi tal-Kamra li jivvutaw favur l-amendi, minghalija.

U jekk tal-Lejber ma jridux jaghtu l-Pairing, tahseb int li ser jivvutaw amendi li jwegghu lill-wahda (jew aktar) min taghhom?

Hmir kollna u hmir nibqghu sakemm ikollna leaders bhal Joseph, Anglu w Toni!
