Avventura kbira - taf li qatt ma mort Kemmuna?

These are some of the names of the Super One boys who raised funds for the station – so that Labour can use its money to pay Marisa Micallef instead – by being ‘izolati fuq Kemmuna’ (ma, x’avventura kbira, mama!):

Derston
Quinton
Byon Jo
Charlon

Oh, and they took a woman with them (but not to provide the obvious, of course): Julia Farrugia of Media Today. She edits a newspaper owned by Saviour Balzan and Roger de Giorgio, and she raises funds for Labour’s Super One.

So Julia is Saviour’s editor. Now I know why so many friends of mine are following me and not buying that rag.

Another mafia in the making. We’ll soon get rid of them. Wait and see.

    So they were; DERST ON
    QUINT ON
    BY ON
    CHARL ON
    BOTT ON

Easy-care trousers for the busy sewxil klajmer in drip dry Derston. Guaranteed not to fade, rip, shine, squeak or wear out. Mix ‘n’ match with our Quinton twill pullovers in a thrilling array of subtle shades (Burberry check available).

We recommend washing in Byon Jo, for that fresher than fresh, springtime scent in three varieties: White Tie, Bag Me One or Pitstains Supreme.

  7. Banquo says:

    Derst-ON, Quint-ON, Charl-ON, why not Jo By-ON???

  8. Joanne Demicoli says:

Was Julia Farrugia the deputy chairman of Malta Institute of Journalists at the time?

    [Daphne – Yes.]

On this issue I think you should read Lou Bondi’s piece in The Malta Independent on Sunday.

      • Joanne Demicoli says:

Thanks. I had skipped Lou Bondi’s article. Do these people know the meaning of “ethics”?

  9. Rover says:

Were all these intrepid “journalists” born in the Dynasty and Dallas days?
