Can Musumeci be serious? The discussion will include one on co-habitation and will he be giving his expert knowledge on this subject? Fr. Joe Borg will be a guest and knowing him, he does not mince words.
Here’s betting he goes on about the ‘evils of co-habitation!
Hehe u nsejt il-‘fenomenu’ tal-facebook. His partner will be so glad this subject is being discussed!
Fr. Joe Borg does not mince words? Surely a mistake. Perhaps you meant to say that actually passes them through a blender and gently sprays them through a perfume vaporiser.
Why is Fr Joe giving this man respectability by appearing on his programme?
Christ spent quite a bit of time with a hooker, didn’t he?
[Daphne – Ex, reformed.]
Well, if you are talking about Mary Magdalene it is actually not mentioned anywhere in the gospels that she was in fact a hooker.
A theory is that the idea that she was a prostitute was spread around the 6th century (I believe by Pope Gregory but not sure) to try and lower the status of important women surrounding Christ, but in fact, despite what tal-muzew and many nuns and ‘traditional beliefs’ will tell you, OFFICIAL Catholic doctrine does not ever describe her as a prostitute.
The Magdalene cult received much prominence in the Late Middle Ages. The Church started promoting the idea that marrying a prostitute was an act of piety.
Prostitution was widespread in Europe at the time, because of the wave of poverty (due probably to the Little Ice Age) which hit the continent.
All the talk about the diminution in the importance attached by the Catholic Church to women is agenda-driven.
Ghalfejn niskantaw? X’tistenna minghand xi hadd li l-espressjoni ‘wiccu u s**** l-istess’ donnha nholqot ghalih?
I used that expression when I met my wife, as a compliment.
hilarious …………………………….. not !!
Really thick-skinned for Musumeci to appear in public – much more so on TV – shame on him and on those who organized the TV show. I hope that viewing will be minimal and a flop.
maybe it-tieni programm se jkun: FACTS
Mela veru pajjiz tal ‘Mickey Mouse’ biex tawh programm lil dan il-Muppet.
Why not leave Robert alone.I do not know him personally, but everyone is free to do what he wants.Robert is a good looking guy and there are many who are jealous of him.Good luck Robert.
[Daphne – He may be good-looking by your standards, but he’s certainly not good-looking by mine. I know Malta’s desperately short of good-looking men, but really, you don’t have to scrape the bottom of the barrel. He’s pleasantly ordinary, that’s all. Certainly nothing you’d pick out of a crowd. So calm yourself, really. Nifs il-gewwa. In fact, he’s starting to look remarkably like a priest – not that priests are bad-looking by dint of being priests, but perhaps you know what I mean – he’s got that ‘look’ about him. What my generation used to call ‘qisu tal-Muzew.’]
Maria Aquilina – You must be surrounded by a hell of a lot of ugly men, to think of the man in question as good looking! Then again, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
X’ jiswa li tkun gustuz minn barra jekk tkun imhassar minn gewwa. Ghax biex tabbanduna lill-mara u tarbija ta’ twelid ghal kapricc, bilfors li trid tkun mhassar minn gewwa.
those who are without sin ………………. cast the first stone !!! Ajma kemm gej gebel ghal rasek habib :)
Exactly Maria. Everyone is free. If he is free to make an idiot of himself, we are free to comment on it.
Spot on, Daphne. Remove the tie, stick the badge and ring the bell. I prefer my al-Qaeda looks any day.
Referring to the earlier debate on whether irkotta or rikotta is the proper Maltese word, according to your reasoning, we should be saying ‘dozzina pastizzi tar-rikotta’ instead of ‘tuzzana pastizzi tal-irkotta’!
[Daphne – Bore on. You’re rather late into this. If you scroll through all the comments, you’ll find that somebody’s got in already with precisely this remark, and I’ve answered it – several times over.]
He overheard someone who read my comment perhaps. Now just drop that debate, Joseph. We have to move on.
no actually i was offline for 3 or 4 days engaged in more interesting activities!
So it must be we’re ‘great minds’ or ‘fools’!
Character is much easier kept than recovered. ~Thomas Paine
Bil Malti hemm espressjoni li tghid “wiccu w s**mu xorta”.
No further comment.
Jew wiccu u l-ghatba tal-qorti l-istess.
u tieghek ghaliex differenti Grezz ???? ighidli ruhi
Will they be calling a magistrate for her opinion on both Facebook and cohabitation?
This turkey is toast. About to disappear up his own a**hole. Or someone’s.
U nghid li ghandu x’jiddiskuti dwar Facebook!
Ghandu opinjoni esperta.
… ghax, wara kollox, donnu juza l-Facebook hafna, hux?
Well well what next? He will be talking from experience. At least there will be Fr Joe Borg.
Robert should go back to his wife and family. That’s the only way for him to regain the paradise he has lost.
All this posing with priests and such stuff will not do the trick and rewind on his fall from grace.
Perit Musumeci, go back where you belong. Stop indulging in your ego-trip.
Follow your Milanese friend’s advice.
Ah! But then it’s up to his wife whether or not to accept.
As for your other comments, jekk veru jemmen b’Alla, bih ma’ tidhaqx!
JP Bonello ………. and you stop judging and assuming that you have figured out everything about Robert. Gosh, the cheek !!!!!!!!!!!
I admit he’s got balls … Daphne, will you do me a favour and give us a critique afterwards. I’ll be busy living my life on Monday.
A scathing review of Sex and the City 2…

Well, at least the argument of no personal experience (typically leveled against the clergy and their marriage counseling) certainly does not apply here.
It does in Fr Borg’s case!
You think they’ll manage to fit Lady Gaga and the recession in there, as well?
This programme aired yesterday, it seems that nobody around here is aware of this. The discussion was quite interesting with Fr. Joe Borg. Also, Musumeci did not talk that much. I watched them before and during the intervals of Gonzi’s interview with Bondi.
[Daphne – Well, I’m guessing nobody watches Smash.]
Minn hu bla teba jitfa l-ewwel gebla please, veru San Pawl tefa l-valenu tal-lifa f’ilsien il-maltin ?
That must be the most (ill-)quoted part of the bible.
I’m getting guilt pangs…
Carmel, hemm hafna li jzommu kelmthom u jghixu l-hajja tal-familja, bid-diffikultajiet u l-ferh kollu li ggib maghha. Hemm hafna illi jaghtu l-ahjar li jistghu biex it-tfal taghhom ikollhom l-ahjar futur possibli u biex dawn meta jikbru jghixu hajja ibbazati fuq valuri sodi.
Fejn jidhol l-impenn ghal familja u ghas-socjeta dawn in-nies huma ‘bla teba’ u, ghalhekk skond int, ghandhom ikunu huma li jitfghu l-ewwel gebla.
Fil-qasam ta’ leaving your wife and sleeping with someone else’s, jien bla tebgha. Nista’ nibbukja post ha nitfa’ l-ewwel gebla, please?
Nista nitfa’ t-tieni wahda?
Prosit, prosit, prosit tassew ………….. i completely agree with you and your comment …………. kulhadd qaddis f’din l-isola tad-dahq !!!!
Jekk bla teba tfisser qatt ma qlibtha lil mara jew tfajla u m’ghandix intenzjoni naqlibielha, mela tista tghaddili l-gebla please halli nwaddabha.
p.s. donnu ma kienx hasibha sew wisq San Pawl l-affari hux.
p.p.s. do people who go about quoting the bible ever actually read it? I mean really read it, not just a select few passages.
Ahna din id-darba m’ahniex qed nitkellmu fuq x’ ghamel hu u x m’ghamilx, jekk fhimt sew jien, ghax kultant niddubita.
Ahna qed nghidu kif u x’ fatta stazzjon televisiv jaghti programm lil bniedem li xeba jaqa’ ghaz-zeta din l-ahhar sena. Bhalissa mhux jekk li ghamel hux tajjeb jew hazin, imma kif ittih ic-cans jitkellem fuq suggett meta hu daqsekk “biased”, ghax ma tistax tigieni il-kelma bil-Malti bhalissa.
Min jaf Consie x tittajpja u taghtih il-lectures kif ghandhu jithadded. U imbierek Alla, u milli jidher, ha jkun programm popolari hafna ta jekk diga beda u hadd ma rah!
Kulhadd jiddiskuti hawn u sitta u sitta tnax li ‘this programme aired yesterday’. Mn`Alla kien dan l-appostlu K Farrugia li nebbahna.
Kulhadd lest ghal nhar it-Tnejn li gejjien hejj. Veru tad-dahq. Fuq nota ohra, Daphne, ghax hammut jekk ma nsaqsiekx. Did you read comments on Eurovision Song Contest on last Sunday’s Times?
Iva jien ma nippretendiniex xi brava ta, imma allura la bl-Ingliz u lanqas bil-Malti ma nifthemu issa? I am not referring to the spelling mistakes or the grammar (punctuation marks nonexistent) – that I have gotten used to – but most of those comments were ILLEGIBLE.
Pat, on Smash TV presenters buy airtime. Robert bought the airtime. He must be deluding himself that this way se jigbor giehu.
He’s on the wrong track.
Oh xi hlew! Miss piggy can watch her beloved Kermit on TV next monday
I hope it doesn’t even cross your mind to go to Mass on Sundays, dear Troy !!!!!
Robbie, or receive Holy Communion from Fr. Dalli.
