Here's another one who'll be voting Labour because of the price of diesel
Hot news: fuel prices affect robbery patterns. Here’s one man – the five-footer, remember? that’s how we know it’s not Kurt Farrugia because he’s 4′ 8″ – who has spent the last few weeks holding up shopkeepers in Haz-Zebbug.
You’d think he’d have run out of shops by now and moved on elsewhere, but eh, hija, there’s the price of diesel to think about.
The Times, today
Shop owner foils theft attempt
The owner of a Żebbuġ outlet resisted a man carrying a firearm who walked into the shop demanding money, the police said.
The incident occurred at about 5.30 p.m. Nothing was stolen and a suspect was arrested not long after the incident.
The suspect was being investigated also over thefts that took place in the same town over the past weeks.

So the pint-sized Zebbug robber has been apprehended.
I wonder what other remarkable features distinguished him from other Maltese men apart from the gigantic 5′ stature. A horizontally striped shirt and a swagbag perhaps.
I heard they lowered all the shop-doors in Zebbug to five feet, and arrested the first man who didn’t hit his head walking in.

The elephant Anglu is riding is carrying a bunch of twigs, which makes it a working elephant rather than one used to carry tourists. Is he economising?
Labour’s concept of carbon free transportation.
