Imma Buzek he know nothing; our Joseph he know more and plenty

“Malta and Maltese MEPs punch above their weight. Malta was amongst the last EU member states to enter recession and amongst the first to emerge, something the Maltese government and citizens can be proud of.”

– Jerzy Buzek – President of the European Parliament

  4. John F. says:

And the jokers try to ridicule the “Par idejn sodi” slogan. It takes more than par idejn sodi to merit a comment like this coming not from some Anglu Ljunjfanti or Toni tat-teletubbie but from the President of the European Parliament. Piu di cosi !

Issa ahna kellna lil Gaddafi li kien itina iz-zejt bl-irhis u wara li dhalna fl-Europa ma’ baqax itina. Dan x’gab mieghu xi jtina?

Taht dal-gvern kollox gholi u mindu dahluna fl-Europa kollox mar il-bahar: hadt lil-ommi sal-Kapwa ghal test gieni 350 Ewro. Ma ridtx noqod nistenna il-Mater Dei. Xtrajt mobile Londra ghax rajtu irhas. Tal-LIDL qatlu l-hwienet tal-merca kolla. Il-halib tal-bott sar 59 cents minghandhom meta l-ohrajn ibihhuh 79 cents. Bilfors qed ifottu. Qeridna dan Gonzi.

    • Rover says:

Hawn Suldat ta’ l-Azzar, Alla jbierek kemm int galantom. Biex xtrajt mobile mort Londra u ghal test mort sptar privat. Ghal li jista jkun ghandek bicca hobz x’tiekol il-lejla?

Mhux forsi qed teqred ghax ghola l-halib 4 centezmi?

Hsiebek hemm ghax jekk jisimghak Buzek jibghatek tiehdu f’ghajnek.

Is it me or are these people out of their frigging mind?

[Daphne – I think that comment was ironic and sarcastic, not meant to be taken literally.]

Rover can claim Poe’s law but I bet s/he was tired and overworked.

      • Suldat ta’ l-azzar Guzeppin says:

Joseph A Borg hallik minn Poe. Dak taht is-sodda nqedu.

Ma tridux tghidu li Busek jaf x’qed jghid? Nehhewlna il-kacca ta’ April; issa jkolli nohrog bis-serqa biex forsi noqtol kuccarda. L-insib qatowh barra u ma nistax l-anqas nohrog bid-dghajsa bil-lejl bil-lampara ghal-klamari.

Dawn ta’ l-Ewropa qerduna! Imma jekk jitla Joseph, April itijulna mill-ewwel u l-insib nirrangaw ukoll. Dak ma jridx jghidilna ghax inkella jaqbzu fuqu tal-ghasafar.

Issa tghallem minn Mintoff u bhalu sar, li jigih f’rasu jaghmlu.

Londra tlajt mar-Ryan Air ghax irhas mill-Air Malta li tridu teqirdu intom. Kemm hadd pjacir nara l-vrieden u l-ispunsuni jieklu minn hdejja. Nizzilt tnejn go kalzetta fil-gakketta.

Rover, l-ghalqa kelli naqra patata u qarabaghli. Kollu maradli ghax ma stajtx inbixx ghax sensja m’ghandix biex nixtri il-kupru u il-permitrin jew malatine.

        Tal-hobz tieghi daqt jaghlaq.

Jekk Busek jibaghtni niehdu fejn mhux suppost, nigdmulu ilsienu bhal ma kien qal Fredu ghal dak tan-nuccali tond u zghir li dahak bina biex nidhlu fl-Ewropa.

For f**k’s sake, what is wrong with these people?

  7. ASP says:

People will miss Gonzi big time.

  8. K.P.Smith says:

I wish people would take these Euro propaganda-bites with a pinch of salt. The reason we were last in to the recession is that Malta’s financial system wasn’t embroiled directly in the (take your pick) over-exuberance/fraud/mismanagement/shenanigans (lovely Irish word) that occurred in the run up to the crisis, all of which ‘President’ Buzek fails to mention, happened under the watchful eye of the ECB and caused by the largest banks at the core of the Euro zone.

Let’s just hope the band-aid used to solve the liquidity problem which caused the ‘recession’, will prove palliative enough to help the looming bank and sovereign solvency issues. Otherwise, we’ll really find out what we are worth.

This Polish gentleman, who fought communism in his earlier political career, will be visiting Malta next week and will meet the Leader of the Opposition. I wonder what sort of discussion they will have on economic matters.

Can someone tell him that Stacy cannot afford to put diesel in her car?

    • ciccio2011 says:

She should change her car to a “petlor” one. The government is currently offering a 15% rebate on scrap.

  11. David Buttigieg says:

Ifhem .. this Buzek person is not a statesman (not politician ta) of the calibre of our lider zaghzugh.

  12. I sometimes think that the Nationalist Party’s worst enemy is not Muscat and his Labour Party but their own PR department.

  13. TROY says:

Mhux par idejn sodi biss imma par easter eggs ukoll.

    • Catsrbest says:

I fully concur with the above statement. One should just analyse the way Dr. Gonzi is handling the administration together with the smooth running of the economy.

All this despite the obstacles he has from, unfortunately, ‘inside’ and outside. He will be remembered as a truly great leader during one of the worst recessions ever. Not just that, but also the leader who has done something tangible to re-build the Valletta gate and the ruins of the “teatru Rjal”/Royal theatre. Not to mention Malta’s entry into the Euro-zone.

  14. red nose says:

I presume Muscat will have occasion to meet Buzek, and that Anglu and Toni will be there too.

  15. James Debono says:

Xelta ferm difficli – jew temmen il-plebew semplici, wisq suxxettibli ghal-kummenti tal-Leadr u li jippretendi paga m’ghola s-sema talli jwettaq xi xoghol medjokri, li jghid: “qatilna u gabna aghar minn zmien il-Gwerra”.

Jew tisma persuna li qalet xi haga wara li hasbet, wara li hadmet f’hajjitha biex takkwista status, wara li akkwistat pozizzjoni xierqa fis-socjeta` u li lehinha huwa, fil-verita, wiehed mill-ftit li jisthoqqlu jinghata attenzjoni.

Kullhadd ghandu dritt jlissen l-wegghat imma fl-opinjoni tieghi n-nies ghandha wisq iktar x’titghallem, ghax lanqas kif tgerger ma taf.

Reminds of the school playground: “Or my brother will get you”.

  18. KT says:

It will be quite a big hassle to explain to them who Buzek is, Daphne; I’m quite sure they still think that Gunter “li-jigi-minn-Hitler” Verheugen runs the European Union, “ghax dak kien jigi jinnegozja Malta hi”

To think that such ignorant people will probably be in government when I graduate makes me shudder.

  19. R says:

Kemm hallsu Gonzipn biex jghid hekk?

  20. chavsRus says:

He was obviously referring to Grech, Scicluna and Attard Montalto.

He couldn’t possibly have been referring to Casa.

    • Antoine Vella says:

Could well be, chavs. Since he used the ‘punching’ metaphor, he must have had Laburisti in mind. Perhaps he knows about the PL’s history and tradition.

  21. red nose says:

Cuschieri’s patience is running out – beware! Give him his blessed seat….or else!
