Venezuela's Hugo Chavez agrees with Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici

Former prime minister Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici came out of his cave last Sunday to call for mediation with Muammar Gaddafi.
Now Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez has woken up with the same idea, saying that “the south can find solutions for the south”.
“I hope we can create a commission that goes to Libya to talk with the government and the opposition leaders,” he said in a live television speech, reported on Al Jazeera today.
“We want a peaceful solution … We support peace in the Arab world and in the whole world.”

Well, hasn’t anyone told him yet that KMB is the perfect candidate…. he’s Gaddafi’s man through and through, and he even suggested something similar?
We should organise a meeting between these two light bulbs.
Hasn’t anyone told Hugo Chavez that there are NO opposition leaders in Libya? During his years in power, Gaddafi made sure they were eliminated and never given a chance to re-emerge.

Ezatt, send Mintoff, after all he’s also a recipient of the Gaddafi prize, like Chavez

How come we haven’t run out of aviation fuel by now?
Is someone supplying us from abroad?
Another wacko soon-to-turn dictator. Birds of the same feather. Jaqq x’nies.
Soon?
I would say ‘not so recently’, at least in practical terms.
I suppose that this is a bit off topic but seeing all that is happening around us, I was wondering whether there are any provisions in our laws that prevent a political party or electoral candidate from receiving funds from another country.
I suppose it would be a basic tenet in safeguarding a democracy, but then again…
You mean, was the Labour Party in Malta bankrolled by Gaddafi?
Perhaps we should ask Karmenu Vella. He’s bound to know. Or Joe Sammut.
No surprises there, as previously commented, Chavez is just Mintoff speaking a different language.
@ el bandido guapo
Not at all. Chavez, Mintoff, Gadhafi et al speak the same language.
Chavez is (like KMB) talking from his backside. I am sure he knows that there is no opposition in Libya and therefore the brilliant KMB idea of mediation falls through – mediation between whom?
Once a zero, always a zero! And that’s a polite sobriquet for a man rumoured to have been placed in Dom Mintoff’s knickers!
