Oh, and I thought Labour was being prudent?

I say, we have to be prudent

The Broadcasting Authority has found PBS and Bondiplus “guilty of imbalance” because there was nobody to speak for the Opposition when Lou Bondi brought on the government ministers for justice and home affairs to talk about Libya.

The BA said that Bondiplus had invited no spokesman for the Opposition. Lou Bondi said that he had invited the Labour Party’s international secretary, AST (freshly emerged from the dinosaur cave), but that he had refused the invitation.

The BA made the fatuous distinction between the Opposition and the Labour Party, but ‘balance’ makes no such distinction.

Also, I can’t understand what the fuss is all about. Labour is refusing to speak about Libya and has refused to do so since the first days of the uprising.

Even now, at this very late stage, Opposition leader Joseph Muscat is still telling reporters that he will say nothing about Libya because “we have to be prudent”.

So why are the Broadcasting Authority and the Labour Party complaining – because they want a Labour spokesman to sit there like a stuffed dummy on air and say nothing, or just squawk “We must be prudent we must be prudent we must be prudent we must be prudent”?

    As long as Joey says nothing about anything it is fine with me.

    My problems begin when he attempts to say anything about something.

    Lou Bondi should have invited KMB. He surely shows no prudence. I am not sure that he can be considered to be from the Opposition, but what is sure is that recently all dinosours have positioned themselves with Labour.

    Oh, so Joey and his gang are prudent? Now, let’s remember his antics over the last few months. They seem to me to be foolish, dumb, stupid, improper, incautious, rash, inconsiderate and insensible. Definition? Imprudent.

    What a sad, out of their depth, scary bunch.
