Osama Bin Laden is dead, but back on the ranch it's divorce as usual

I stayed away from my computer for four days to focus on more pressing matters, and what happens? Gaddafi’s compound is hit and one of his sons killed, Osama Bin Laden is assassinated and the conspiracy theories start, and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando accuses the Nationalist Party-owned media of not accepting pro-divorce advertisements.
And what about the Battle of the Idiotic Referendum Billboards? And that Judge Sciberras?
I don’t know where to begin – but Osama Bin Laden is the subject of my column in The Malta Independent tomorrow.

You should have elaborated “Gaddafi’s compound was hit and the missile did not explode!”
Now, that’s what I call a close shave with death.
Those billboards ………….. my oh my!
If I owned any of the advertising agencies involved in the production of these billboards, I would make it perfectly clear that I had nothing to do with the creatives other than graphically putting them together.
Did anyone notice that the pro-divorce movement divorced the designer of their original logo?
Logos, for or against are a waste of time and money. Everybody knows where one’s conscience is and this has been known before the word divorce was mentioned in Malta. Let us keep Malta free of such legislation.
It’s where Daphne was that’s the more pressing story.
Bin Laden is old hat.
She was right there, with the seals.
Serious question: Why do the Curia, and not the police, investigate paedophile priests?
[Daphne – It’s not either or. The Curia investigates them as the organisation to which they belong, and the police investigate them like the police would any other suspected paedophile. The two procedures are separate, distinct, and undertaken for different purposes.]
To me it doesn’t seem like the police investigate them like the police would any other suspected paedophile.
The impression I have from the English-language media is that the victims are appealing to the Pope for help because the police have found no evidence of wrongdoing.
If there were an active ongoing police investigation then I would NOT expect the victims to be holding press conferences and I WOULD expect the accused to be hauled in for questioning, with full transparency (without naming names obviously).
[Daphne – If you’re talking about the boys’ home case, then you’re a little out of date. The police investigation was concluded around eight years ago. The case then got ‘stuck’ at the court proceedings stage, but there was a report in The Times a couple of days ago saying that it is ‘nearing the end’. The men gave a press conference because they didn’t know what was happening in court and the whole thing was so protracted. The case is being heard behind closed doors. They appealed to the Pope for entirely different reasons, mainly emotional ones.]
Hard to imagine that it’s good news for the accused if it takes so long to be concluded.
I would have thought they would have rushed an ‘innocent of all charges’ report long before now.
Is everyone in Malta immune to delays of this sort?
Do the press never clamour for answers?
Here we go into the territory of conspiracies. I shall leave all the space to Kev.
@Bystander….
I don’t think it is anybody’s business where she was. I hope she chose were to be. That is important. But I would say they were four long days. I missed the expert’s advice. She has a way of putting things or and people in their proper pigeon hole. Her writings are like a painting -loud and clear.
” I hope she chose were to be. That is important. ”
Consider yourself pigeon-holed!
Keep up the replies, they keep me in chuckles.
@ bystander
I am happy to oblige. Glad that put you in ‘chuckles’ mode.. Maybe you will now learn to laugh. Maybe it will do you good.

Gaddafi cannot be killed… he has escaped death too many times… is he human?
He is from the same ilk of Mintoff.
We are but one microsphere in a very large void .
What can one say about retired Judge Sciberras except that he is an old Mintoffian who thinks that everyone is as motivated by money as his idol is.
Now he has taken to parroting what is being dished out 24/7 on the Labour media to the party faithful.
Re Bin ladin and the conspiracy theories – in all probability , they did not publish pics of the dead creature so as not to bruise the sensibilities of the huge Bin Ladin clan who have extensive business interests in the west including the US and who are married into some of the most powerful ruling families in the Middle East and Gulf region.
The Bin Ladin sibs must be glad to be rid of the black sheep of the family, but still, blood is thicker then water and they would not have relished the photos used as some kind of war trophy.
The only thing that remained of Bin Laden’s head after he was shot is the jlower half of the skull with attached beard. You wouldn’t recognise him. In any case it’s hardly going to convince people like Kevin Ellul Bonici.
I’m more intrigued by that heli wreckage. It doesn’t look like anything in the current US inventory. The closest thing would be a heavily modified MH60, but it’s still a long shot.
Could someone brief us on Judge Sciberras? Another Maltese twit with a string of degrees?

Which photo did you see, Baxxter? The one that’s been online since 2009?
Not to worry. They will come up with the real proof soon. They’re just allowing the amateurs to shape their theories – then, voila – the real, fake photos will appear in the corporate media and the State Department will not say another word.
Be very afraid. Terrorists are everywhere now. Check beneath your bed as you go to sleep and pray the West will save us.
Never mind beneath the bed. It’s the emptiness on the bed that worries me. Sodda ta’ tnejn mifruxa ghal xejn, what.
[Daphne – Look, you’re not exactly going to pull with this autistic interest in the details of weaponry. People seem to have more success with conspiracy theories. Look at Kevin. He has a wife despite his hobby. Because of his hobby might be stretching it.]
No need to see any photos. Ever seen a head wound, Kevin? Bin Laden was shot inside a room. In the head. That’s what, a five-metre range, max? Even with 5.56, at that range, the whole top of the head would have been taken off.
You’d think some of you were Wahhabi Jihadists, the way you go on gloating about the New World Order.
Hmm, I don’t think Kevin pulled using his conspiracy theories. And I’ve learnt to hide any interest in anything chick-incompatible.
Does it work? Does it f…..
Ever seen a head wound, Kevin?
Specially if he was double tapped, rumoured standard procedure for seals
Not that you’re making much sense Baxxter, but here are some facts, even if this post has gone off the radar now.
On balance, there is much more evidence suggesting Bin Laden died some time after 9/11 than that he lived until last week. On this, we have only the word of Western governments and their stooges against an abundance of whistleblowers and witnesses, scientific evidence, admissions and clear cover-ups, documentary evidence (leaked and published over the years), a multiplicity of circumstantial evidence, the opinion of experts in a variety of fields, as well as exceptionally rare investigative pieces in the corporate media (but hardly ever on the Box) all suggesting and/or proving that, among other facts:
1. Al-Qaeda was a CIA-proxy-controlled Mujahideen organisation created during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan and the relationship never ceased thereafter (today, you can hardly tell where ‘terrorist cells’ end and police/military operators begin. In between, there is a penumbra of informants, undercover agents, agents provocateurs and embryonic sleeper cells all in the ‘care’ of anti-terrorist agents. This also goes for MI6/Scotland Yard. I know exactly how it works and it’s easy peasy).
2. The 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by elements of the CIA and the Mossad in collusion with shades of these ‘terrorist’ elements. The evidence in this case is abundant, but if you don’t know the facts because you only believe corporate news, government statements and career politcians, then you will never be able to fathom how they’re able to pull it off and get away with it.
3. The US attacks on Tora Bora in the aftermath of 9/11 was a total charade. During that period US forces allowed thousands of Mujahideen/al-Qaeda insurgents (all CIA assets) to ‘escape’ to Pakistan.
I could go on and on, giving the much wider picture, but without the many unearthed details you’d be none the wiser.
But let me give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that the US Marines really executed their Goldstein on Labour day and dropped him in the Persian Gulf (you should at least concur that he is a Goldstein of sorts).
They say Pakistan has been harbouring him next to a military compound. But the Pakistani secret service has had a multi-layered relationship with the CIA for many years and evidence suggests there is no way that US forces could have taken so long to trace Bin Ladin in that area. In this case, the fact remains that they decided it’s time to execute their used asset. This announcement has long been awaited by the anoraks.
But is it possible Obama is lying? Wouldn’t he risk being outed?
Not when government parrots are called ‘journalists’ and real journalists are called ‘conspiracy theorists’.
Think about it: other than the word of Western governments (and the corporate media network that is owned by the same globalist elite that controls the West) the main reason you don’t believe these conspiracy facts is because they are ‘too incredible to be true.’
I know they sound incredible, but that does not make them false. When you come to understand how the whole thing works you realise that not only is it wholly credible, but it could not have been otherwise.
The whole paradigm-setting illusion is of course embellished with an abundance of disinformation by both useful idiots and state agents. Separating truth from fiction is not easy if you don’t know who these globalists are, what their objectives are, in what ways they go about achieving them and what resources they possess.
One main objective in this Orwellian saga is to control entire populations. Control is crucial towards accomplishing their goals. The ‘war on terror’ has been one of the vehicles towards this end.
The US and its forces are but tools in the hands of this globalist cartel – the EU is next. History is as yet to begin.
I could have produced thousands of links, but I will just stick to three.
The first is an article written in 2002. I’m linking this article not only because I knew the author personally (deceased 15 March 2008), but because I know much of this to be true. It is a significant but small detail: ‘When Osama Bin Laden Was Tim Osman’ by J. Orlin Grabbe

And here are two very recent articles:

@Daphne
You just step out of the kitchen for a moment, and it seems like all hell breaks loose.
Although you cook up a good journalistic soup, at least you’re not responsible for the mess in the kitchen created and unreported while you were out.
The world just keeps happening. And one does need a break now and then. But we sure enjoy and look forward to your observations–as we all compare notes and recipes.
As for the kitchen, it will never assume some final order, but at least you can still make soup when you want to.
Welcome back, Daphne. I almost have withdrawal symptoms when your blog is not updated. Still I hope you had a good time in the meantime.
Thanks.
I saw this comment
“I need a group of Seals on my doorstep as much as a hole in my head”
I’d love to have a group of Seals on my doorstep. They’re such cute animals.
… but no mention of Sandro, false testimonies and sms messages …
[Daphne – False testimony? The way some primitive minds work make me despair. I suppose you’re one of those who have decided that because a false photograph of Bin Laden’s corpse was shown on Pakistani television, then the Americans must have faked his death. Two medical specialists give evidence in court: one says X and the other says Y, and you decide X is lying because, presumably, you are an even bigger medical specialist than the one appointed to give a separate view of what they have said. Occam’s razor, my dear – just ask yourself why in God’s name Anthony Samuel would risk his entire respectable career and imprisonment for perjury to lie under oath? Even if he were the sort to behave so badly (he isn’t – I know him, we were at sixth form college together) ask yourself, from the purely utilitarian perspective, what the incentive could possibly be to make the potential disgrace worth his while. You people just don’t think, do you. Or maybe you just think perjury and lying about medical records are just a breeze for hospital consultants. I always get the feeling, when trying to work out how people like you reason, that you’re actually applying your own set of poor standards to others. You’d do it, so why wouldn’t they.]
I have a question. But first a statement: Anthony Samuel is the senior man of I believe two specialists in nuclear medicine. Who am I to judge his competence, but he does happen to have an untarnished reputation, with a vast experience to go with it.
The court now appoints Malcolm Crockford. An excellent radiologist, but, and I feel it’s a very relevant but, why appoint a court expert who is not as qualified to confirm or contradict Samuel’s medical evidence?
As they say, “ma tistax tillarga ftit”! and all hell breaks loose.
Dead or not, Osama is gone for good. Pres. Obama is not going to stake the reputation of his administration on this issue unless he is not completely and utterly sure that the identification of the corpse is a positive one.
I guess we have to take his word for it and that’s enough for me. The resolve and commitment of various US administrations to rid the world of terrorism is to be lauded, as despite the incredibly high cost in human and financial resources, they did not step down until their primary objective was reached.
Your supposition is wrong again.
I have proof of a consultant falsely testifying in court -well known consultant. I had to break the law to prove myself right. Nothing happened and nothing will happen. I have proof of what I am saying. That is why I am insisting.
I don’t care about Anthony Samuel or who he is. I think his intentions were good. Some consultants have no court experience. I insist that it is unethical for a medical consultant to examine and then issue medical reports of a family friend.
[Daphne – Rubbish. That means in a crisis which might lead to court proceedings you have to rule out your own family doctor and the duty consultants at the general hospital if they happen to be people you know or relatives of people you know. You have to stand or lie there at A & E and make a God-almighty scene, refusing to let the duty consultant see you and insisting that somebody who is off duty is called in. Samuel said he knows -as opposed to is friends with – Vince Farrugia’s son and wife. Big deal. I find the suggestion that people necessarily perjure themselves for people they know deeply insulting, and above all, incredibly stupid. And it is ridiculous and impracticable, too, because by your reasoning, a medical professional can never get what you consider to be an independent assessment, because s/he is bound to know all her/his peers. And what about that Medical Council, eh? Chockful of doctors sitting in judgement over other doctors, tsk tsk. And I suppose you think that judges Arrigo and Vella didn’t get a fair trial because they knew the judge who sat in judgement over them.]
He should have referred his friend to another consultant if he knew that his reports are going to be presented in court as evidence. This would have eliminated this problem. The sms’s are proof that this accident was meant to be blown out of proportion.
[Daphne – First, rubbish. Now, bollocks. Somebody assaults you. You end up at A & E. The consultant tells you “No, ta, I can’t see you because I know your son and have met your wife and that means I can’t testify in court to describe what I’m looking at here. I’d better ring my colleague who is currently at home getting some needed sleep after a 36-hour shift, and demand that he comes in and looks at you.” What text messages? The ones Axe-Grinder Today wrote about but amazingly failed to quote? Isn’t it obvious that the victim, if he is a prominent person, or those close to him, are going to ring the newspapers if he is assaulted under those circumstances? Why should they hide it from the newspapers? That’s what the perpetrator does, not the victim. And exactly how, using yours and Axe-Grinder Today’s reasoning, does a text message to a newspaper – if it exists in the first place – change the nature of what happened? You won’t pass a logic test with this reasoning: Vince Farrugia or his aide sent a text message to a newspaper with a report of the attack. This means that the attack did not happen, or that it happened but the victim’s contact with newspapers constitute mitigating circumstances which either render the attack less serious or less deserving of punishment. I don’t know why I bother, honestly. Dealing with irrational people all day every day is so dispiriting that when I switch off my computer for a few days I never want to switch it on again except to look at things that don’t involve redneck reasoning or primitive-villager thought patterns.]
“I always get the feeling, when trying to work out how people like you reason, that you’re actually applying your own set of poor standards to others. You’d do it, so why wouldn’t they.”
You cannot work out how I reason. You do not know me.
[Daphne – I don’t have to know you. People like to persuade themselves that they are unique and uniquely fascinating. In reality, there is no infinite variety in human nature, and we all fall within a type or pattern of some kind or another. Those who are thought to have exceptional insight into human behaviour are really nothing more than sharp observers, who can then see patterns over time through the observations they have accumulated. If you pop over to the British and American comments-boards, you will see that you are one of countless thousands if not millions of people with half-assed reasoning. The difference is that they can rarely spell or punctuate and probably live in some housing project, while I get the impression that you don’t. That’s Malta’s tragedy: that even people from better backgrounds think and reason like rednecks. If only a proper examination were to be made of why this happens.]
A way out for both consultants can be that images are not good enough.
[Daphne – Way out? Way out? Consultants at any time, especially when under oath in court, are obliged to say the truth, not find a way out. A way out of what, anyway? What we have here is a difference of opinion as to what the facts are. Nobody is lying, and nobody needs a way out.]
Got one right re redneck. One reason I let my hair grow long. Give me six numbers for next Wednesday super five.
[Daphne – I don’t gamble. I don’t have any moral view on it. I’m just not interested.]
Mrs. Caruana Galizia – you can also add this 3-yr old scandal to the list. Labour’s head ranch-hand has been holding a birthday celebration for it in Hamrun.
