6 Re the Bush-Gorbachev meetings in Malta 2-3 Dece 89, P/1 noted that 30 Libyans including Dr Fno (Ilmhadbi) and Milud (Imbersh) arrived in Malta to assist with the Libyan-funded Malta Labour party (MLP) “Give peace a change” gathering. Imbersh’s brother, Colonel Hadin (Imbersh), is a high-ranking officer in the Libyan army. Fourteen members of the entoruage stayed at the Jerma Palace with the remainder scattered in various locations. During the rained-out weekend, MLP leader Karmenu (Mifsud Bonnici) paid a call on the group at the Jerma Palace.

      But it is not Joseph’s fault that he did not know that the MLP was funded by Gaddafi.

      Perhaps his nanna was not aware of what was happening between Gaddafi and Mintoff, and she could not include it in her kitchen indoctrination of young Joseph.

      Or better still she knew, and in her indoctrination she insisted that Joseph should either deny everything or play with words when as leader tal-partit.

    Thanks to the MLP, Gaddafi will be to Malta what Hitler is to modern day Germany – a source of deep national shame.

    To people with a conscience, that is, and not to Labour, which is feverishly continuing to re-write the history books as we speak.

    Labour is not a legitimate political party. It assumed the role of political front of a bordering regime, working against the interest of the Maltese sovereign state.
