It turns out that the golden double-seater fashioned like a mermaid with Aisha Gaddafi’s face, which was found in her home and made the world headlines, was the throne used at her wedding festivities.
Watch the video, if you can stand it. I have a horrible feeling that the ‘chair lift’ device used to raise the glorious couple above the crowd of guests is going to be copied at certain sorts of Maltese weddings – or by Joseph tal-Ingravata Hadra and Michelle tar-Rollers for their next public appearance, giving new meaning to the term ‘high’ class.
