Errrrr, Saviour, doesn’t this mean – using your line of reasoning – that you’re a pilastru tal-Labour and that JosephPL is using you, Roger de Giorgio, Malta Today and Illum?

I won’t mention Double Agent Julia Farrugia, who moved from Super One to Malta Today and carried right on doing the same thing.

I got so bored of Saviour’s rants that I gave up following the malcontent ages ago.

Sav ( can I call you Sav?), you started out with a sweeping generalization which, by definition, includes you!

Secondly, journalists all over the world criticize politicians. In fact, I cannot think of one newspaper in Europe where journalists don’t. It’s usually their job to do so, and citizens encourage it because it means that the parameters in which politicians must live in are enforced.

If you want to live in a country where journalists do not criticize politicians then might I suggest you move to China.

The type of “character assassinations” you talk about are not committed by the journalists you alluded to. But they are carried out by a group of post-teen loonies who run certain blogs (there are more than just the one) which invent loads of rubbish to blackmail the journalists who are just doing their job.

One of these lovely blogs was advertised on the Facebook walls of members of the PL as soon as it went online – I wonder why.

Saviour is one of the most boring persons in Malta and the least said the better; so I wish to change the subject.
Malta should open the embassy in Tripoli as soon as possible. The French have opened theirs today as they said they do not want to lose time in the reconstruction of Libya.

How can a person live with so much hate inside? I couldn’t bear to watch it all.

  11. Antoine Vella says:

According to Saviour Balzan these are the TWO things (“żewġ affarijiet ewlenin”) meant to silence criticism of the government:
    1. PBS news
    2. Blogs
    3. Meetings with the PM

Like the 360 degree U-turn, this is another great example of creative maths.

  12. Reporter says:

    Dan sieħeb John Dalli hux?

L-MEP Corinne Lepage għalxiex kienet qed tirreferi meta qalet li kien hemm kunflitt ta’ interess fuq l-OGMs??

  13. Logikal says:

To compare the state of the media today to pre 1987 is ‘not intelligent’ and insulting.

Mentioning ‘three blogs’ when every Tom, Dick and Harry can set up a web page, FB or whatever page and spread their gospel is betraying a tiny sense of being, locked up in his perception of time and events.

I remember a period of extreme anxiety I went through and this is similar to what I felt.

On the other hand, the fact that we cannot get in-depth appraisals of ‘the others’ (bar the JPOs , JMs and Tonios) makes us hungry for more in the same vein. (Don’t tell me to go and search for it, I’m an opinion reader).
