Perms! Highlights! Skintight jeans! Singing with mic+stand raised high! Power drums! Synths! Margaret Thatcher! Goose Green! I’m having some major flashbacks here.

[Daphne – Ah, but satorially, they’re referencing Marc Bolan.]

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Music videos were made on a risible budget. Yet they live!

Now it’s all gyrating backsides and absolutely smashing parties.

      How’s that for musical onanism?

The music video shows you the party you’re meant to have if you played that track, with wall-to-wall willing quim, stretch limos and no hangovers.

  6. Chris Ripard says:

Nothing by ELO, Queen (up to 1977), Free, The Stranglers, the Sex Pistols, Roxy Music, Suzi Quatro, Smokie, Hot Chocolate, Pink Floyd, the Stones . . . or are these yet to come?

[Daphne – Please. I needed to take a Jeffrey break. Smokie: you’ve got Needles and Pins there somewhere. Anyway, the theme is soundtrack from my childhood, not my adolescence.]

    • Darren says:

So Daphne must have been a hippy back then; all flowers beads and bare feet!

[Daphne – No. Notice the title: soundtrack to my childhood. I was in primary school, even kindergarten. But that music was playing everywhere.]

    • Joe Micallef says:

…and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Clatpton and Haydn (well the latter is my get-away haven)

  7. Leonard says:

Movie reel of my youth – Last Tangle in Paris
