The eurozone crisis agreement – Labour hasn't noticed it happened

Il-futur f'idejk. Ivvota Labour.

I’ve been waiting a few days now and Joseph Muscat, future prime minister, still hasn’t said a word about the eurozone crisis or the agreement reached last Thursday to ensure the Union’s survival.

His party, which will be governing Malta in roughly a year and a half, hasn’t issued a statement either.

Have they even noticed it happened? Have they logged what’s happening beyond Malta? Or are they so small-minded and dangerously insular that the bus service and Austin Gatt loom larger than all that?

Something tells me that come 2013, it’s going to be government by kumitat tal-festa.

And the shadow minister of finance, Karmenu Vella, only gave a (brief and vague) comment because a reporter from The Times rang and asked him for it, so he couldn’t avoid it.

The eurozone crisis agreement is basically a positive development for the EU as a whole and for Malta so Joseph Muscat does not want his people (those who follow only the Labour/Balzan media) to know about it.

Labour’s wealth is measured in Gaddafi dinars.

I would like to share with your readers a comment I found on Facebook. It amply shows the state of the PL:

“Just imagine me telling my wife-to-be before I got married that I had a great vision for the future with a grandiose place to live in, 4 yearly holidays, a holiday farmhouse in Gozo… .

Her next reaction would have been “But how on earth are you going to do all that and in what way?”. Well my answer would have been simple “Marry me and then you will see”.

Sounds stupid but that’s unfortunately what the Labour Party’s position is all about.

    To: Povra Malta,

No Joseph is not saying marry me and you will find out. He saying lets fix the wedding date and once that is fixed I will tell you how I plan to keep my promises.

The Electoral program is issued once the election day is announced so everyone will have ample time to go through it during the electoral campaign after which each can take his / her own desicions.

I agree with the fact that the opposition party does not show its hand before the time is right. However YES i want a full detailed reports showing how and a time frame as to when the promises will be fulfilled. This I would like to see from both parties and I would hold them all accountable if they do not fulfill their obligations

[Daphne – Purely out of curiosity, are you the same Brian Gatt who posted this comment on timesofmalta.com’s board today?

If Dr Debono accepts this then he is really the Ninny and Nitwit as the PN bloggers tagged him.

This shows how low the PN can stoop!! Even if knowing that the people’s interest are at stake they still try to get one of the Klikka out of the coffin he built for himself….Disgusting !!! ]
