Would The Times's 'heroine' have called this man a f**king w**ker to his face, I wonder?

I think the fact some people expect young men and women from a certain background to always vote Nationalist, will end up backfiring.
[Daphne – What background would that be, DV? We might not observe the same things, but my observations tell me that Ms Abela Garrett is your classic up-and-coming Labour background. I would never have expected her to vote Nationalist, unless she had an independent mind and some intelligence to help her break away from her political background, which judging by her behaviour she clearly does not.]
The posit is that young men and women who don’t vote Nationalist usually come from a certain background.
Who said that young men and women from a certain background should vote Nationalist?
When ‘background’ is bereft of any notion of money you’ll see how it starts to make sense. And who the snobs really are.
What you mention is a typical syllogism perpetuated by Labour. It’s called inverted snobbery.
I vote Nationalist, and I also think Austin Gatt is a FW. What does that make me?
[Daphne – It makes you exactly what you said you are.]
I’m also a Nationalist, and absolutely loved the girl’s outburst. I also loved Austin’s Gatt reaction the next day, where he said that it’s exactly what he’d expect from a university student. Well done, Austin.
A Labour politician would have probably reiterated and exchanged obscenities with the student.
Please understand that The Times originally misreported what actually happened.
I was there… she didn’t just randomly call him a fucking wanker and other ‘expletives’, as the news article made everyone believe. She called him a fucking wanker after he walked away completely ignoring her comments and saying “no problem”.
Probably not Daphne – but we all know who is and isn’t that why we vote the way we do so why the question in the first place?
I wonder what that W stands for in George W Vella…
Here she is two years ago, ranting on Maltastar:
http://www.maltastar.com/pages/r1/ms10dart.asp?a=1641.
She admits to being bitter, who would have guessed?
Her style of writing is so derivative, ‘get used to it my dears’….sounds familiar, yet too shrill.
x’imhatra she’ll be on Labour’s list of candidates come 2013? Another addition to Labour’s skip?
Kemm jiflah maskeruni dan l-imniefah skip?
