It’s Saturday, and Jeffrey’s managed to stay off the Earl Grey

Published: November 6, 2011 at 12:36am

Franco Debono’s fiasco – or to use his term, qassata – seems to have focussed the Tooth Fairy’s mind, if only temporarily and until the next mukk of Earl Grey or little pussy which follows him home (sigh of irritation).

He woke up this morning to immediately post this on his Facebook wall, where he would normally give us a rousing quote from Churchill or a picture of his sausages and eggs.

Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando
Good morning. I will obviously be supporting government. I was given a mandate to do so for the full term by my constituents. Reason also dictates that instability will harm our nation.

Five hours later there were no Likes or comments from his thousands of Labour supporters. When he criticises and threatens the government (or me, as he and his Labour crowd frequently confuse the two), comments can run into the nineties.

That should tell him what sort of audience he has.

Then later, he posted this, concerned perhaps that housewives like Labour Bernadette had found somebody else to fantasise over and were ignoring him:

Hi. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend. It’s amusing to see that there are those who seem to have the impression that when I took certain stands about particular issues I did so because I wanted to destabilise the government. The stands I took had clear aims and there was nothing sinister behind them. With me, what you see is what you get. Take it or leave it.

Eventually, the comments began to come in as his Labour fans composed themselves sufficiently to address him in hurt tones. Is this our Jeffrey? We feel betrayed.

Don’t worry, my dears, he’ll probably be flipping again before long, though he’ll wait until Franco Debono leaves a gap in the market for hysteria, because apparently he doesn’t like being associated with the likes of him.

It is a relief to note that the business of government comes before the business of Botox injections for Jaffrey.

At last, JPO is talking sense.

I am optimistic that he will not be saying or writing anything stupid in the coming weeks and months.

This is not to say that he cannot or should not criticise the government when he considers it appropriate.

He should do so, however, in a way that does not make the government seem unstable …. as Franco Debono has done.

This is exactly why I believe Pullicino Orlando (or Franco Debono, for that matter) will never attract a single Labour vote. The Mintoffjani only egg him on because they hope he’ll bring down the government, not because they truly admire him.

I hope this serves him as a lesson: as soon as he reminds them he supports the PN (because they need reminding) they turn against him.

And I don’t mean only his Facebook “friends”.

Indeed , when Mintoff was about to destabilise the Labour government , by voting against Sant in Parliament , NET TV egged him on with unlimited airtime to satisfy his ego.

It’s no difference with Jeffrey with his Facebook and his One TV friends . No difference.

I noticed that the “day” has been omitted from the various contributions – is it possible to have the day plus the date?

[Daphne – Do you mean on the posts? The information is there in the usual place.]

And what makes JPO think that he iscapable of destablising the government?

You might create ripples, Jeffrey, but you are so far off from being credible that no one takes seriously what you say and what you write any longer.

You are just there to keep us amused when we need a change from Mr. Bean.

Now with Franco.Debono, he is a someone to watch out for, because he can cause problems, but Jeffrey, you are not even worth bothering with.

Trying to ingratiate yourself with the rest of us, aren’t you Jeffrey? Too little to late. Off with your head in 2013.

The government has lately launched the clown doctor scheme to help patients recover in more spedicious time.

Nothing was said when the clown politicians was launched perhaps unofficially, although we have been witnessing their tricks for some time.

However, contrary to the clown doctor scheme the clown politicians scheme has made us feel more ill.
