Joseph takes off his hair for a PES meeting

Published: November 27, 2011 at 9:51pm

Go straight to 15:00 to hear Joseph Muscat talk about the business “boogeyman” and then on to 38:00 to hear him talk about “our comrade George”.

Then if you can stand it, go to 28:00 to listen to him blather with none of the self-assurance he has when addressing a C2DE audience in Malta.

That was hillarious and enlightening. Not sure if little Joey and his ‘faceboogers’ would understand, though.

  2. Antoine Vella says:

Who is Comrade George who fetched a credible solution to let people have their say? (I didn’t watch the whole talking-shop clip)

  3. Edward Portelli says:

    Joseph Muscat:

“If we say things just for the sake of saying them, without coming out with clear strategies, we might win elections, but we would then fail miserably when we are in government”

Straight from the horse’s mouth, as they say.

  4. e-ros says:

Comrade George!!?? (excuse me Daph) Who is this re-born Communist friend of Joseph?

The poor chap is totally out of his depth in such fora, though he has made an art of saying a lot without really having said anything.

Strange that he didn’t mention cheap water and electricity at that PES chat about a fair economy.

  6. Antoine Vella says:

Here are some businessmen rejoicing that they are not boogeymen.

I think he did rather well, given the constraints of the PES mantra.

Also, unbelievable as it may sound, the European Socialists still call each other ‘comrade’, even the British MEPs.

  8. Min Weber says:

    Who was clapping?

Judging by the sound of the claps, they must have been young people … Ah! I know! The Labour Youth delegation made up of Aaron Ideat Farrugia, Cyrus Wikileaks Engerer, and other Elves … Where were Alex (Sceberras Trigona) and Helena Dalli?

  9. P Shaw says:

Comrade George was dismissed by all European leaders, the markets, and the Greeks themselves, after realizing that he was no leader at all, that he was part of the problem, and that he was not in touch with realiity.

I can understand that Joseph Muscat finds affinity with a failed leader who lacked vision, was in denial, and did not raise to the occasion by irrespnsibly passing the buck to the electorate through a referendum, that would have collapsed the whole Euro system. SO much for comrade by George!!

Not only Joseph Muscat is dangerous for Malta, but he also boosts affinity with a failed leader who was irresponsible enough to propose a damgerous referendum. Comrade George was unable to take painful but important fiscal measures.

Given that Muscat will be PM in 18 months time, I am shocked tthat yet again he is on the wrong side of history. Muscat claimed that the referendum (that was dismissed by eveyone as irresponsible) would have been a credible solution! This moron is CLUELESS.

  10. Joe says:

Joseph Muscat replies (28.28): “My response to your original question is very simple.” For him and Anglu Farrugia it seems that everything is semplici hafna.

  11. oldtimer says:

Comrade George, I think, is George Vella (another youth).

  12. P Shaw says:

If the future PM claims that the referendum on the Greek measures proposed by comrade George was a credible idea (unlike the rest of the EU leaders who were shocked at the news), then we should expect that each new tax and fiscal measure proposed by a future MLP government to be subject to a referendum as well..

  13. Alex says:

Here’s an interesting perspective on the failed proposal to hold a referendum in Greece:
