Just look at how Labour’s spokesman on water and electricity is keeping herself busy

On Facebook yesterday, even as her party tells us that people are dying in the streets because they can’t pay their utilities bills:

Marlene Pullicino
ma nafx tafux, imma dawk kollha li jhobbu l-festi (u dawk li jinteressahom isiru jhobbuhom) huma mistednin montekristo estates matul il-weekend ta’ wara l-24 ta’ Novembru,ghall-celebrazzjoni ta’festa specjali imtella minn bosta socjetajiet, ghaqdiet piroteknici, kif ukoll gruppi tal-armar….narakhom hbieb..

L-aqwa li ghand il-Montekristo Estates. Yes, I really do think it’s time some serious newspaper like Malta Today asked Labour what kind of deal they’ve struck there.

‘Novembru’ must be feeling really lucky. The only word which was honoured with a capital letter! And a parting shot (narakhom hbieb) should preferably be written correctly as I got rather distracted by the oh so common mistake. Never mind, wouldn’t want to be seen dead at such an event.

But you’re right about the need for some questions to be asked and answered. Are you the only journalist who’s thinking something is afoot?

    • Anthony Briffa says:

Yes DCG is the only journalist, all the others are only reporters, and are not capable of doing any analysis of any event whilst asking pertinent questions at the right time.

Matul il-weekend ta’ wara l-24 ta’ Novembru kulhadd jitfi d-dawl ghax tant ha jinharaq nar li ha tkunu tistghu taraw minghajr il-bzonn li tixeghlu d-dawl.

    L-ewwel porposta tal-PL kif id-dawl jista jorhos.

What I do not understand is why Marlene refers to “il-weekend ta’ wara l-24 ta’ Novembru…”
It seems like that was stated within a context of a conversation on her Facebook. Otherwise, why did she not spell it out as 25th to 27th November?

We dentists are doing fine: one is chairman of the Malta Council of Science and Technology and another is Labour spokesman on water and electricity.

“…ta’festa specjali imtella minn bosta socjetajiet, ghaqdiet piroteknici…” Wonder who would be sponsoring that event. Good for a particular line of business. ,
